Two Adani Group-operated airports in India have been included in the Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports List 2026, highlighting growing international recognition of the country’s aviation infrastructure and design standards. Navi Mumbai International Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, were selected among seven airports worldwide recognised for architectural excellence, sustainability, cultural identity and passenger experience. The annual Prix Versailles awards, presented at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, celebrate outstanding architectural achievements globally. The recognition places the two Indian airport projects alongside airports in Guangzhou, Frankfurt, Kandal Stueng, Pittsburgh and San Diego. NMMC removes 1.5 tonnes of waste in railway station clean-up drive

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) conducted a special cleanliness drive at several railway stations across the city, removing around 1.5 tonnes of waste as part of a week-long sanitation campaign organised to mark World Environment Day. The exercise covered Turbhe, Ghansoli, Vashi, Nerul, Digha and Rabale railway stations and adjoining areas, with more than 125 sanitation workers participating in the operation. The civic body said the initiative was undertaken to maintain cleanliness standards at high-footfall public locations and to preserve Navi Mumbai’s standing among India’s cleanest cities. NMMC removes 2.5 tonnes of waste during Sion–Panvel Highway clean-up drive

A total of 148 sanitation workers participated in the operation, removing around 2.5 tonnes of waste and accumulated soil. The fully leased office development spans 6.25 lakh sq ft of built-up area and generates annual rental income of about INR 75 crore. Navi Mumbai civic body announces 10% water cut amid falling Morbe dam levels

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has announced a 10 per cent reduction in water supply across its jurisdiction and parts of the CIDCO node from May 25 due to declining water levels in the Morbe dam reservoir. The civic body said the move was taken as a precautionary step following forecasts of deficient monsoon conditions linked to El Niño and the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). Evening water supply will remain suspended twice a week in different nodes including Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Ghansoli and Airoli. Authorities stated that there is currently no immediate shortage, but conservation measures are necessary to manage supplies for this year and the next.Read more
