Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari reviewed the progress of multi-modal logistics parks (MMLPs), ropeway projects, intermodal stations and wayside amenities being developed across India during a meeting of the National Highways Logistics Management Ltd (NHLML). The review focused on project implementation, multimodal connectivity and infrastructure delivery. Gadkari assessed project-specific challenges and directed stakeholders to address execution bottlenecks on priority to accelerate completion. French shipping and logistics group CMA CGM has agreed to acquire FedEx Supply Chain, the third-party logistics arm of FedEx, for an enterprise value of USD 1.4 billion, marking a significant expansion of its contract logistics operations in North America. India's industrial and logistics sector recorded gross absorption of 34.8 million sq ft during the first half of 2026, registering a modest 2.4% year-on-year increase, according to Savills India.
