Flipkart has announced expanded investments across Uttar Pradesh to strengthen logistics infrastructure, support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), promote agriculture-linked initiatives and improve market access for local businesses. Since entering the state in 2020, the e-commerce company has developed a network comprising fulfilment centres, grocery facilities and last-mile delivery hubs, creating direct and indirect employment opportunities. The company said more than 85,000 sellers from Uttar Pradesh are now active on its marketplace, while dedicated programmes for farmers, artisans, women entrepreneurs and small businesses continue to expand. The investments form part of Flipkart's broader strategy to enhance digital commerce, supply chain efficiency and inclusive economic growth across the state.Read more

Gateway Distriparks reported an 18 per cent year-on-year decline in its consolidated profit after tax for the first quarter of the current financial year, mainly due to the continued impact of the West Asia conflict, higher fuel prices and rising operating costs. While revenue remained almost unchanged, EBITDA also witnessed a marginal decline. The company said global uncertainties affected consumption and production during the quarter. GMR Hyderabad International Airport has started handling Emirates SkyCargo's dedicated Boeing 777 Freighter service on the Taipei–Hyderabad–Dubai route, strengthening its position as one of India's key air cargo hubs. The new service is expected to improve the movement of pharmaceuticals, electronics, semiconductors, perishables and other high-value shipments between East Asia, India and the Middle East. With a payload capacity of more than 100 tonnes, the freighter will also support growing demand for technology-related cargo while improving Hyderabad's connectivity to global markets through Dubai's extensive international network.Read more

LEAP India, the KKR-backed supply chain asset pooling company, has launched its initial public offering (IPO) with a target valuation of around INR 7,000 crore. The public issue, valued at nearly USD 260 million, includes a fresh issue and an offer for sale, with KKR-backed Vertical Holdings II emerging as the largest selling shareholder. The company has reported strong financial growth in FY26, supported by higher revenue and profit. India's warehousing and industrial real estate market recorded steady growth during the first half of 2026, supported by strong occupier demand across key sectors and continued infrastructure development. According to Vestian, leasing activity increased 16 per cent year-on-year to 22 million square feet across seven major cities, while institutional investments rose 53 per cent to USD 49 million. India's Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal (GCT) network continued to expand, with 142 operational terminals handling 146 million tonnes of freight during FY26, according to information shared by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in the Lok Sabha. The terminals, developed under a policy aimed at attracting private investment, have an estimated annual freight handling capacity of 224 million tonnes and have drawn around INR 10,000 crore in private investment.
