Koemmerling, a brand of Germany-based profine Group, has expanded its presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region with the opening of a new experience centre in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The facility was inaugurated by senior officials of the profine Group and profine India and coincided with the Indian launch of the Allure S46 aluminium minimal sliding door system. The company said the new centre is intended to support architects, developers and homeowners by providing access to its range of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems. The expansion forms part of the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in India's growing infrastructure and building materials market through continued investment and product development.
Koemmerling, the uPVC and aluminium window and door systems brand of the Germany-headquartered profine Group, has opened a new experience centre in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai, strengthening its presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The facility, located at Shelton Sapphire in Sector 15, was inaugurated in the past week by Dr Peter Mrosik, Owner and Chief Executive Officer of profine Group, Farid Khan, Chairman and Managing Director of profine India, and Kamal Bajaj, Chief Executive Officer of profine India.
The inauguration was attended by architects, developers, industry partners and members of the fenestration sector. The opening also marked the Indian launch of Koemmerling's Allure S46, a non-thermal aluminium minimal sliding door system developed specifically for the Indian market.
According to the company, the new experience centre has been established to provide architects, developers, channel partners and homeowners with an opportunity to explore its portfolio of German-engineered uPVC and aluminium window and door systems. The company stated that the expansion reflects its continued investment in India's infrastructure and construction sectors while supporting the growing demand for high-performance building products.
The newly introduced Allure S46 minimal sliding door system has been designed for contemporary residential and commercial developments requiring larger glazed openings and slim-profile systems. The product incorporates concealed frame profiles within walls, floors and ceilings to minimise visible tracks and sills, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The system also features a 20 mm interlock sightline intended to maximise transparency, while supporting panel sizes of up to 2 metres by 3 metres. It accommodates glazing thicknesses ranging from 28 mm to 34 mm and is engineered to withstand wind pressures of up to 3 kPa. The sliding door system will be available in both two-track and three-track configurations to suit different architectural layouts.
Dr Peter Mrosik said India remains one of the company's key international growth markets and that profine Group continues to invest in manufacturing infrastructure and research and development to introduce advanced fenestration solutions suited to the country's evolving architectural requirements. He added that the Navi Mumbai experience centre and the launch of the Allure S46 align with the company's focus on engineering-led product development and sustainability.
Farid Khan stated that the opening of the Navi Mumbai facility represents an important stage in the company's expansion across the Mumbai region. He noted that the centre has been established to provide architects, developers and homeowners with an immersive environment to evaluate the company's product range, including the newly launched minimal sliding door system.
Kamal Bajaj said the experience centre would strengthen the company's engagement with customers in western India by showcasing its complete range of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems under one roof. He added that the facility is expected to support modern architectural requirements through access to the company's latest product innovations.
Headquartered in Pirmasens, Germany, the profine Group manufactures uPVC and aluminium window and door systems, façade systems, shutter systems and PVC sheets, with operations across international markets. Koemmerling is one of the group's flagship brands serving the residential and commercial construction sectors.
