The INR 332 crore Ajni cable-stayed bridge project in Nagpur is set to miss its pre-monsoon completion target, with major structural work still pending. The project, being developed by Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (MRIDC), is aimed at replacing the 125-year-old Ajni railway overbridge and easing traffic congestion between South and Central Nagpur. Although work on major supports and slab casting has progressed, construction of the central pylon and other engineering components is still underway. Haryana has announced a wider technology-led pollution control plan for the National Capital Region (NCR), focusing on electric mobility, industrial emission monitoring and stricter checks on polluting vehicles. The state plans to introduce 925 electric buses across key cities including Gurugram and Faridabad while implementing a “No PUCC, No Fuel” policy from October 1, 2026. Authorities are also expanding air quality monitoring infrastructure, linking industrial units with real-time emission tracking systems and increasing enforcement against end-of-life vehicles. JSW Energy has raised INR 4,000 crore through a qualified institutions placement (QIP) by issuing 7.61 crore equity shares to eligible institutional buyers. The company allotted shares at INR 525 each, reflecting a 1.69 per cent discount to the floor price of INR 534.05 per share. The fundraising was approved by the finance committee of the board after receiving application forms and funds in the escrow account from institutional investors. The Telangana government has revised tender rules for its Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects by capping excess bids at 5% above estimated project costs. The move applies to road development works worth nearly INR 13,000 crore and is aimed at improving cost control, transparency and faster execution. The state is currently implementing hundreds of road projects across districts under the HAM model to improve connectivity and support industrial growth. The Maharashtra government has accelerated plans for redevelopment of the Worli jetty in Mumbai, with proposals for a helipad, water transport integration and emergency service infrastructure at the Coastal Road site. The project is being coordinated between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) and other state agencies. Authorities are evaluating long-term public use of the temporary jetties constructed during the Mumbai Coastal Road project, including passenger water transport, medical emergency services and coastal connectivity infrastructure.Read more

Saatvik Green Energy has received an order worth INR 171.45 crore for supplying solar modules for a utility-scale solar project in India. The order involves TOPCon bifacial glass-glass solar PV modules, which generate electricity from both sides of the panel, improving energy output compared to conventional systems. The modules will be supplied to a domestic independent power producer.
