Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced that road infrastructure projects worth approximately INR 5 lakh crore will be completed in Uttar Pradesh over the next two years. Speaking during the inauguration and foundation-laying of national highway projects valued at over INR 4,850 crore in Lucknow, Gadkari also approved new road works worth INR 50,000–60,000 crore following a review meeting with state officials. Naveen Jindal Group is evaluating locations across at least nine states, including Gujarat, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, for the development of nuclear power projects with a planned capacity of 18 GW. The proposed investment, estimated to run into lakhs of crores of rupees, forms part of the group's diversification strategy and is intended to support the Centre's target of achieving 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047. The projects will be undertaken through Jindal Nuclear Power Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jindal Renewables. The three-year contract covers the design, fabrication, supply and installation of aluminium glazing façade systems. The order is valued at more than three times the company's standalone FY26 revenue and is expected to strengthen revenue visibility over the execution period.
