Global semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies AG has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire C2i Semiconductors, a technology enterprise headquartered in Bengaluru, India. The transaction, announced in late August 2026, focuses on integrating software-defined multiphase controllers and smart power stages into Infineon's existing semiconductor operations. The deal enhances Infineon's research and development presence in India, where it currently maintains a workforce of approximately 2,800 employees. Puravankara Limited has entered into a joint development agreement for a 7.83-acre land parcel in South-East Bengaluru, carrying an estimated Gross Development Value of INR 1,100 crore. The project will have a saleable area of approximately 0.89 million square feet and will be developed as a residential community. This marks the company's fifth land transaction in Bengaluru for FY27. Airport regulator AERA has reduced the User Development Fee (UDF) at Bengaluru airport to INR 300 for departing domestic passengers and INR 997 for departing international passengers for the current five-year control period. The revised charges will take effect from September 1, 2026. AERA has also introduced the incremental Average Revenue Requirement framework for the first time, allowing the airport operator to recover costs of major capital projects only after they are completed and commissioned. The regulator said the approach would prevent passengers from paying upfront for airport infrastructure that is not yet operational.Read more

Bengaluru’s 58-km Blue Line, connecting Central Silk Board with Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), is expected to become fully operational by March 2028, with different sections scheduled to open in phases from 2027. The Central Silk Board-KR Pura section is targeted for commercial operations by mid-2027, while the Hebbal-KIA section is expected to be ready by September 2027. The remaining KR Pura-Hebbal section is likely to be completed between December 2027 and March 2028. Construction complexities along the Outer Ring Road and provisions for future integration with the proposed Orange Line have affected the overall timeline.Read more

IndiQube has secured a workspace expansion deal with a leading global audio series platform, which has leased nearly 1,300 seats at the managed workspace provider’s tech park facility on Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road. The deal is valued at approximately INR 68 crore and expands an existing relationship between the two companies. The client had initially scaled its operations from IndiQube’s Koramangala facility before moving to the larger enterprise environment on the city’s prime IT corridor. The transaction adds to IndiQube’s enterprise portfolio and its presence among India’s high-growth technology companies. The company said startups and unicorns account for nearly a quarter of its overall occupancy, with more than 50 unicorns having selected IndiQube as their workspace partner.Read more

Krishvi Group is planning an INR 760-crore investment across three residential developments in Bengaluru, with a combined estimated gross development value of INR 1,050 crore. The projects will be spread over 6.5 acres and together comprise around seven lakh sq ft of residential development. Two projects are planned in Hennur, while the third, HBR Lakeside Residences, is located in HBR Layout. The Hennur developments will involve outright land acquisitions, whereas the HBR Layout project will be undertaken through a joint development arrangement. The proposed investments will expand the developer’s presence in North Bengaluru’s residential market, where demand for premium housing has continued to support new project launches.Read more

Germany-based KRONES has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility for bottling machinery at Vemagal Industrial Area in Karnataka’s Kolar district. The INR 315 crore facility, spread across 16,000 square metres, has been established in 18 months and is expected to create around 400 jobs. The company received approval for its investment proposal in October 2024 and was allotted 30 acres for the project. The facility will manufacture ErgoBloc packaging systems and machinery for different types of bottles, including equipment capable of producing up to 1,00,000 Coca-Cola-type bottles per hour.Read more

Global mobility platform Arrive has opened a new innovation hub in Bengaluru as part of its expansion of technology and product capabilities in India. The 20,000-square-foot centre will bring together teams working across engineering, product, customer care, sales operations and artificial intelligence. The company said the Bengaluru team will support its global engineering operations and development of predictive AI capabilities for urban mobility. Manipal Health Enterprises will acquire the entire operations and assets of Kinder Women’s Hospital in Bengaluru for a cash consideration of INR 130 crore. The healthcare provider has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Kindorama Healthcare Private Limited for the transaction, which covers the hospital in Doddanekundi. The deal does not involve any share acquisition. The addition of the hospital will strengthen Manipal Hospitals’ presence in Bengaluru’s Whitefield micro-market and expand its healthcare network and clinical capabilities in one of the city’s growing healthcare markets.Read more

Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy has urged Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar to take over the Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure Corridor Project (BMICP), implemented by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE), and immediately stop toll collection on the roads. In a seven-page letter sent to Shivakumar on August 15, Kumaraswamy cited observations made by the Karnataka High Court regarding alleged irregularities in the project’s implementation and sought corrective action by the state government. NICE currently operates a 41-kilometre peripheral road and a 10-kilometre link road in Bengaluru, on which tolls are collected. Kumaraswamy has also called for legislation to formally take over the project, citing alleged violations of the Framework Agreement and Project Technical Agreement. The Chief Minister said the government would examine the matter and act in accordance with the law.Read more

Bengaluru-based flexible workspace operator IndiQube Spaces reported a consolidated net loss of INR 23.88 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, narrowing from INR 36.75 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier. Total income increased to INR 448.81 crore during the first quarter of FY27 from INR 324.12 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing. However, total expenses also rose, reaching INR 479.32 crore from INR 374.08 crore. IndiQube operates a nationwide network of 137 coworking centres across 17 cities and has 10.61 million sq ft of area under management. Bengaluru-based EV charging infrastructure company Bolt.Earth’s Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun Charger has received certification from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), validating its compliance with applicable safety and performance standards. The company said the charger is the world’s first universal fast charger for electric two- and three-wheelers to receive the certification. Designed for individual users as well as commercial fleets, the charger can provide up to 40 km of range in 15 minutes. It supports Type 6 and Type 7 connectors and is compatible with several electric two-wheeler manufacturers. Former BBMP Finance & Taxation Committee Chairman Manjunath Raju has called for stronger administrative implementation of Bengaluru’s existing Property Identification Number (PID) and GIS-based property mapping systems to improve property tax compliance and municipal revenue. The Railway Board has given in-principle approval for the Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling and train control system for Bengaluru Metro’s Pink Line and the entire Blue Line under Phase 2A and 2B up to Kempegowda International Airport. The approval is an important step towards commissioning the Pink Line’s first operational section between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere. Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited has been following up with the Railway Board and Research Designs and Standards Organisation to complete the approval process. Sumadhura Group plans to invest around INR 2,000 crore to develop a residential project in Bengaluru’s Whitefield-Kannamangala Corridor. The Bengaluru-based developer has signed a Joint Development Agreement with a landowner for the 17-acre project, which will have around 2.5 million square feet of saleable area. The company sees strong growth potential in the corridor, which has emerged as an important residential market in East Bengaluru.
