The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its first chargesheet in the alleged Reliance Commercial Finance Limited (RCFL) bank fraud case, accusing five former senior executives of criminal conspiracy and cheating in connection with the diversion of borrowed funds. The chargesheet, submitted before a special court in Mumbai in the past week, also names Reliance Infrastructure Ltd and Reliance Home Finance Limited (RHFL) as accused entities. According to the CBI, the alleged diversion of funds caused a wrongful loss of INR 4,097 crore to a consortium of 13 public sector banks. The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) will prepare a structural development plan to guide the Pune Metropolitan Region's growth over the next two decades, with a focus on infrastructure, transport and decentralised economic development. Speaking at the PROP CONNECT 2026 real estate conference in the past week, PMRDA Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhari said the draft plan would be prepared shortly and finalised within 18 months. The proposed roadmap includes the development of 18 Growth Centres under initiatives of NITI Aayog and the Maharashtra government, alongside major transport projects such as Metro Line 3, the regional ring road and the proposed international airport. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed Oberoi Realty not to make any fresh allotments or create third-party rights in its Three Sixty North residential project in Gurugram until the Haryana Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) decides a complaint challenging the project's licence.
