The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) conducted a Grievance Day programme at its headquarters in Rayapudi, Amaravati, on June 1 to address issues raised by farmers and agricultural labourers in the capital region. A total of 27 petitions were received, covering matters such as the reallocation of returnable plots, land pooling concerns and related issues. Senior APCRDA officials, including Commissioner V. Vijaya Rama Raju and Additional Commissioners A. Bhargav Teja and Kollabathula Karthik, reviewed the representations and assured applicants that their concerns would be examined and resolved at the earliest. The authority also reiterated that grievance petitions can be submitted daily at its Citizen Grievance Center and announced that the dedicated Grievance Day programme will continue every Monday at the Rayapudi office.Read more

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Chandigarh-based real estate businessman Vikram Wadhwa in connection with its investigation into the alleged INR 645 crore IDFC First Bank fraud case involving the diversion of public funds from government-linked accounts. Wadhwa was arrested under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and is being investigated for his alleged role in the generation, layering and concealment of proceeds of crime. The case relates to the suspected embezzlement of funds belonging to the Haryana government, the Chandigarh Administration and two private schools. Investigators allege that the money was routed through multiple accounts and shell entities before being converted into cash and other assets.Read more
