The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has announced that the HappyNest residential housing project in Amaravati has completed 1.5 million safe man-hours without recording a Lost Time Injury (LTI). The project is being developed as part of the Capital City Amaravati and the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), with construction being carried out by NCC Limited.
The HappyNest project comprises 1,200 residential apartments spread across 12 towers, with each tower having a Ground plus 18-floor (G+18) structure. According to APCRDA, the achievement reflects its continued focus on maintaining high standards of workplace safety, construction discipline and quality execution throughout the project.
Officials said the milestone was achieved through strict implementation of safety protocols, continuous monitoring of construction activities, regular safety training and awareness programmes for workers, and preventive measures at the project site. These initiatives helped ensure that construction activities progressed without any Lost Time Injury while strengthening a safety-first culture among employees and workers.
APCRDA also acknowledged the efforts of employees, engineers, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders associated with the project. The authority said the collective contribution and commitment of all teams played an important role in achieving the safety milestone.
To mark the achievement, a special programme was organised at the project campsite during the past week, where appreciation awards and incentives were presented to project personnel for maintaining high safety standards. Representatives from the APCRDA ESMU Division, PgMC, the Project Management Consultant (PMC) team and NCC contractor teams attended the event.
Officials who played a key role in achieving the milestone included K. Nagaraju, Chief Engineer (Civil-I), AGICL; M. Chandramohan Rao, Superintending Engineer, APCRDA; M. Yajurved Reddy, Executive Engineer; M. Paramjyothi Raju, Project Director; G. Brahmanayudu, Deputy General Manager, NCC Limited; and Feedback Infra Private Limited, which is serving as the Project Management Consultant for the project.
The HappyNest project is one of APCRDA's flagship residential developments in Amaravati. The housing project was launched to provide modern residential apartments as part of the planned development of Andhra Pradesh's capital region. Construction activities have continued with a focus on quality, safety and timely execution.
