Pathankot civic campaign expands public toilet network across market areas

A citizen-led sanitation initiative in Pathankot, Punjab, has installed 25 portable public toilets across key market areas through a collaborative model involving local traders' associations. Led by educator and public interest worker Srijal Gupta, the "Shahar Zinda Karo" campaign transfers responsibility for the maintenance of each toilet to the respective market association after installation, promoting community ownership of civic infrastructure. Premier Energies commissions 5.6 GW solar module plant in Telangana

Premier Energies has commissioned a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur in Telangana, taking its total solar module production capacity to 11.1 GW. Announced in the past week, the facility forms part of the company's INR 12,500 crore capital expenditure programme aimed at expanding manufacturing capabilities and diversifying into new clean energy businesses. The company also conducted the ground-breaking ceremony for a 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility and an 18,000 metric tonnes per annum aluminium frames plant. Rajesh Power Services wins INR 653 crore underground power network contracts in Gujarat

Heavy rain and strong winds bring down 62 trees across Navi Mumbai as civic teams remain on high alert
