Interarch opens Gujarat manufacturing plant to expand steel construction capacity

Interarch Building Solutions Ltd has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Kheda, Gujarat, as part of its capacity expansion strategy for India's steel construction sector. Spread across nearly 12 acres, the first phase of the plant adds 20,000 metric tonnes (MT) of annual manufacturing capacity with an investment of INR 60 crore. A planned second phase will add another 20,000 MT per annum, increasing the facility's total capacity to 40,000 MT annually, with cumulative investment expected to reach INR 70 crore. The project is expected to create more than 400 direct and indirect jobs. Tripura pushes Centre to raise externally aided projects limit to INR 10,000 crore for faster infrastructure growth

• Tripura has urged the Centre to raise the annual cap on externally aided projects (EAPs) from INR 4,000 crore to INR 10,000 crore to support larger infrastructure projects.
• Chief Minister Manik Saha said the request was placed before Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the recent North Eastern Council (NEC) plenary session.
• The state highlighted progress under the Smart City Mission, water body rejuvenation and other urban infrastructure projects while seeking greater financial flexibility.
