Synopsis

Managed workspace operator Spring House Workspaces has introduced bio-enzyme-based hygiene solutions across its centres through a partnership with BioPure EnzyClean, as companies increasingly incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives into workplace operations. Announced in the past week, the initiative aims to reduce the environmental impact of conventional cleaning practices while maintaining workplace hygiene standards. The deployment includes task-specific cleaning solutions for desks, glass surfaces, washrooms and pantry areas to improve operational efficiency and simplify facility management. The move reflects a broader shift among flexible workspace operators towards integrating sustainability, employee well-being and operational efficiency into day-to-day workplace management, as occupiers place greater emphasis on healthier and environmentally responsible office environments.

Managed workspace provider Spring House Workspaces has partnered with BioPure EnzyClean to introduce bio-enzyme-based hygiene solutions across its centres, reflecting the growing adoption of sustainable facility management practices within India's flexible workspace sector. The initiative, announced in the past week, forms part of the company's broader efforts to integrate environmental sustainability and employee well-being into workplace operations.
The bio-enzyme-based cleaning solutions are intended to replace conventional cleaning methods with environmentally responsible alternatives while maintaining workplace hygiene standards. According to the company, the initiative aligns with the increasing focus among businesses on environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments as organisations reassess workplace operations beyond office design and flexible work models.
Spring House said businesses are placing greater emphasis on operational sustainability and healthier work environments, prompting workplace operators to examine routine functions such as cleaning and hygiene as part of their overall workplace strategy. The company stated that the new cleaning solutions are expected to reduce the environmental footprint associated with conventional cleaning practices across its managed office portfolio.
Chief Operating Officer Saurabh Kalra said workplace expectations are evolving, with occupiers increasingly seeking office environments that support productivity, collaboration and employee well-being while also incorporating environmentally responsible operational practices. He indicated that adopting sustainable hygiene solutions forms part of the company's wider approach to developing healthier workplaces.
Industry participants have observed that hygiene management is increasingly being viewed as a strategic workplace function rather than solely a facilities management activity. Organisations are exploring cleaning solutions that contribute to employee wellness while supporting long-term sustainability objectives and ESG targets.
Harit Sharma, Founder of BioPure EnzyClean, said businesses are recognising that sustainability extends beyond green buildings and energy-efficient infrastructure to include everyday operational practices. He noted that more organisations are evaluating cleaning solutions capable of reducing environmental impact without compromising effectiveness.
The deployment includes a task-specific range of bio-enzyme-based products designed for different workplace areas, including desks, glass and mirror surfaces, washrooms and pantry spaces. According to the companies, the dedicated cleaning solutions are intended to simplify operational processes for facility management teams by reducing the need for extensive staff training, minimising operational errors and improving the efficiency of daily maintenance activities.
The initiative forms part of Spring House Workspaces' broader strategy to integrate sustainability, operational efficiency and employee wellness into its managed office portfolio as occupiers continue to prioritise healthier and environmentally responsible workplace environments.
