Mumbai has imposed fresh water conservation measures after reservoir storage levels dropped to 10.35% of total capacity following the city's driest June in more than a decade. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has temporarily disconnected water supply to construction sites and suspended new water connections for such projects from June 17. Water supply to industrial and commercial establishments, as well as sports clubs, has also been reduced by 20%, adding to an earlier 10% cut implemented in May. The restrictions come as Maharashtra recorded rainfall approximately 75% below normal during the first half of June. Two Adani Group-operated airports in India have been included in the Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports List 2026, highlighting growing international recognition of the country’s aviation infrastructure and design standards.
