Manipal Health Enterprises will acquire the entire operations and assets of Kinder Women’s Hospital in Bengaluru for a cash consideration of INR 130 crore. The healthcare provider has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Kindorama Healthcare Private Limited for the transaction, which covers the hospital in Doddanekundi. The deal does not involve any share acquisition. The addition of the hospital will strengthen Manipal Hospitals’ presence in Bengaluru’s Whitefield micro-market and expand its healthcare network and clinical capabilities in one of the city’s growing healthcare markets.
Manipal Health Enterprises on Tuesday said it will acquire Kinder Women’s Hospital in Doddanekundi, Bengaluru, for INR 130 crore in cash.
The company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Kindorama Healthcare Private Limited to acquire the entire business operations and assets of the hospital. The transaction is structured as a business and asset acquisition and does not involve the purchase of shares in Kindorama Healthcare.
The acquisition will strengthen Manipal Hospitals’ presence in Bengaluru, particularly in the fast-growing Whitefield micro-market. Kinder Women’s Hospital will be added to Manipal’s existing healthcare network in the city, expanding its access to patients and adding to its clinical capabilities in the region.
Manipal Health Enterprises Managing Director and CEO Dilip Jose said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s presence in the Whitefield market and complement its existing healthcare ecosystem in the region. He added that the company would continue to focus on clinical expertise and patient-centric healthcare services.
The transaction comes as healthcare providers continue to expand their presence in Bengaluru, where growing residential and commercial development in areas such as Whitefield has increased demand for healthcare infrastructure. For Manipal Health, the acquisition provides an opportunity to add capacity within an established healthcare market without acquiring shares in the hospital-owning entity.
