Bengaluru-based EV charging infrastructure company Bolt.Earth’s Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun Charger has received certification from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), validating its compliance with applicable safety and performance standards. The company said the charger is the world’s first universal fast charger for electric two- and three-wheelers to receive the certification. Designed for individual users as well as commercial fleets, the charger can provide up to 40 km of range in 15 minutes. It supports Type 6 and Type 7 connectors and is compatible with several electric two-wheeler manufacturers. The charger is currently deployed across more than 400 PIN codes in 18 states and includes connectivity, remote monitoring, OTA updates and multiple safety features.
Bolt.Earth’s Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun Charger has received certification from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), marking its compliance with safety and performance standards for deployment in India’s electric vehicle charging ecosystem.
The Bengaluru-based company said the certification comes as demand grows for standardised fast-charging infrastructure for electric two- and three-wheelers. According to Bolt.Earth, the segment represents one of the largest and fastest-growing parts of India’s EV market, while charging infrastructure remains relatively underserved.
The company said Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun is the world’s first universal fast charger for two- and three-wheelers to receive ARAI certification. The certification is expected to support its wider deployment across public and commercial charging environments.
The compact charger can deliver up to 40 km of range in 15 minutes and has been designed for electric two-wheelers used by individual owners as well as commercial and fleet operators. Its dual-gun configuration is intended to provide greater operational flexibility at high-demand charging locations.
Blaze DC is currently deployed across more than 400 PIN codes in 18 states, with users able to locate and access the chargers through the Bolt.Earth EV Charging App.
The charger is manufactured in India and supports Type 6 and Type 7 connectors, enabling compatibility with electric two-wheelers from manufacturers including Ather, Ola, Ultraviolette and Simple Energy, among others.
The Blaze DC 3kW Dual Gun also incorporates Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity, OCPP 1.6J support, over-the-air updates and remote monitoring capabilities. Its safety systems include short-circuit protection, safeguards against voltage fluctuations and an emergency shutdown function.
Mohit Yadav, founder of Bolt.Earth, said the ARAI certification demonstrated the company's focus on developing charging infrastructure that combines universal compatibility with safety and reliability for users, fleet operators and commercial partners.
Bolt.Earth said it has deployed more than 100,000 chargers across over 2,100 cities in India. Its charging portfolio includes smart charging sockets as well as AC and DC chargers, supported by an application through which users can locate, book and make payments for charging services.
