Synopsis

Shadowfax Technologies reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with net profit rising more than eight times year-on-year to INR 65.40 crore, supported by robust revenue growth and a sharp increase in delivery volumes. The third-party logistics company also expanded its operational footprint by adding capacity and increasing service coverage across the country. Growth in both express parcel and hyper-local deliveries helped drive performance, while the company continued investing in infrastructure to support future expansion and strengthen its position in India's fast-growing logistics sector.

Shadowfax Technologies reported a net profit of INR 65.40 crore for the June quarter of FY27, registering an over eight-fold increase from INR 8 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The sharp rise in profitability was supported by strong growth in revenue and higher order volumes, according to the company's regulatory filing.
The Bengaluru-based third-party logistics company reported revenue from operations of INR 1,358 crore during the first quarter, marking a 65 per cent increase from INR 824 crore in the same period of FY26.
Order volumes also recorded significant growth during the quarter. The company delivered 24.7 crore orders, up 83.3 per cent from 13.5 crore orders handled in the corresponding quarter last year. The growth was driven by demand across both express parcel and hyper-local delivery services.
In its statement, the company said it had delivered its strongest quarterly performance so far, achieving record revenue, profitability and margins despite a challenging operating environment. It added that shipment growth continued to outpace the broader market.
The company stated that revenue from its express parcel business increased 87.3 per cent year-on-year, while revenue from hyper-local deliveries grew 53 per cent during the quarter. These segments continue to be key contributors to Shadowfax's business, serving e-commerce, direct-to-consumer brands, quick commerce platforms and local businesses across India.
Commenting on the quarterly performance, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Abhishek Bansal said the first quarter was the company's best-performing quarter to date and the most profitable in its history. He said growth during the quarter was stronger than the previous quarter while the company continued to expand aggressively by adding more operational capacity and extending services to new pin codes across the country.
Bansal further said Shadowfax increased its total operating space to 53 lakh square feet during the quarter, marking the highest capacity addition in the company's history. He added that the infrastructure created during the quarter would support future growth, allowing the company to expand further into smaller cities and towns while improving service quality and maintaining healthy margins.
Founded in 2015, Shadowfax has emerged as one of India's leading third-party logistics providers, offering express parcel, hyper-local and last-mile delivery services. The company has steadily expanded its network over the past few years by catering to sectors such as e-commerce, grocery, food delivery, pharmaceuticals and quick commerce, where faster deliveries and wider geographic coverage have become increasingly important.
