The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has rolled out an extensive monsoon preparedness strategy across Metro Lines 2A, 2B, 7 and 9 to ensure uninterrupted operations during the rainy season. The plan includes deployment of 2,496 CCTV cameras, 30 emergency water pumps, five standby trains, a 24x7 disaster control room and AI-enabled monitoring systems. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis approved 65 railway infrastructure projects under the state Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation, MahaRail, at a review meeting in Mumbai on Monday. Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd has secured a five-year leasing agreement with the Indian subsidiary of a Japanese non-banking financial company (NBFC) for more than 400 desks at its Mumbai centre.
