The Arunachal Pradesh government has signed an agreement with Greenko Demwe Power Ltd for the development of the 1,750 MW Demwe Lower Hydroelectric Project on the Lohit river near Parasuram Kund and Brahma Kund. The project is among the largest hydropower partnerships involving a private developer in the state. Planned with six generating units, the project is expected to produce around 7,326 million units of electricity annually.
