Delhi to issue smart property cards for Lal Dora areas under SVAMITVA scheme

The Delhi government will soon issue smart property cards to residents of Lal Dora areas across 48 villages under the SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) scheme. The initiative aims to create authenticated digital property records, resolve long-standing ownership disputes and improve transparency in village abadi areas. Surveys have been completed in 30 villages, with final property cards already prepared, while 12,232 properties have been surveyed, of which 8,423 have been found dispute-free. The QR code-enabled PVC cards will carry detailed ownership information and will be integrated with the Delhi Online Registration Information System (DORIS) for real-time record updates.Read more

Goa allows district-wide registration of property deeds across sub-registrar offices

PNB plans entry into acquisition financing from Q3, targets USD 2.5 billion FCNR deposits by September-end

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has approved its acquisition financing policy and plans to begin operations in this segment from the third quarter of FY27, starting with domestic entities. The move follows the Reserve Bank of India’s final guidelines allowing banks to finance up to 75 per cent of acquisition deal value, subject to conditions. PNB is also looking to mobilise USD 2.5 billion in FCNR (B) deposits by September 30 and has already collected USD 425 million by mid-July.
