Parle Products has received partial environmental clearance to demolish its historic factory in Vile Parle East, Mumbai, and redevelop the site into a commercial complex. The clearance allows dismantling 21 existing structures and constructing four main buildings with two parking towers, covering a total built-up area of around 1,90,360 sq m. The project includes shops, restaurants, and offices, with tree retention, transplantation, and a Miyawaki-style plantation for greenery. Ceigall India Limited, in a joint venture with SAM India Builtwell Pvt Ltd, has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major Jaipur Metro Phase II civil contract worth approximately INR 918.04 crore. The contract, awarded by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, is for the design and construction of a 10.8-kilometre elevated viaduct and ten elevated metro stations under the Phase II Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). The project, excluding architectural finishing, covers a stretch of the corridor from chainage 600 metres to 11,400 metres and includes a spur line towards the depot. The Tata Group has expressed interest in partnering with the Telangana government on the Musi Riverfront Project and exploring fresh investments in sectors such as AI data centres, semiconductors and electric vehicles. The Odisha government has asked officials to move faster on the Mahanadi riverfront development project planned in Cuttack, stressing early execution and timely clearances. The Punjab government has approved plans to modernise bus terminals in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Sangrur, Patiala and Bathinda to improve public transport facilities and commuter experience. The upgrades will be carried out through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. With terminals in Ludhiana and Jalandhar handling up to 1 lakh passengers daily, the initiative focuses on easing congestion and improving efficiency.
