Ceigall India Limited, in a joint venture with SAM India Builtwell Pvt Ltd, has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major Jaipur Metro Phase II civil contract worth approximately INR 918.04 crore. The contract, awarded by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, is for the design and construction of a 10.8-kilometre elevated viaduct and ten elevated metro stations under the Phase II Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). The project, excluding architectural finishing, covers a stretch of the corridor from chainage 600 metres to 11,400 metres and includes a spur line towards the depot. Scheduled for completion within 34 months, this contract represents a significant step forward in expanding urban rail infrastructure in Jaipur and supports broader efforts to improve city-wide mobility and connectivity.
Ceigall India Ltd, in a joint venture with SAM India Builtwell Pvt Ltd, has secured a major civil works contract for the Jaipur Metro Phase II project, with a bid value of INR 918.04 crore, the company said.
The contract was awarded by the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd and is classified as a domestic order. Under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and item-rate contract model, the joint venture will be responsible for the design and construction of a 10.8-kilometre elevated viaduct along with ten elevated metro stations.
The elevated stations to be developed as part of the project include Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate and Pinjrapole Gaushala. The scope of work excludes architectural finishing, focusing on core structural execution.
The contract forms part of the broader Jaipur Metro Phase II Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) expansion, covering the corridor from chainage 600 metres to 11,400 metres, including a spur line to the depot, reinforcing the city's ongoing efforts to enhance rapid rail connectivity and urban transport infrastructure.
The project is expected to be completed within about 34 months, contributing to improved commuter mobility and supporting economic activity in Jaipur by linking key areas with efficient metro services.
Ceigall India's 74 per cent stake in the joint venture with SAM India Builtwell, which holds the remaining 26 per cent, positions the company to expand its presence in metro rail construction and urban transit development.
