Ceigall India Limited, in a joint venture with SAM India Builtwell Pvt Ltd, has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major Jaipur Metro Phase II civil contract worth approximately INR 918.04 crore. The contract, awarded by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, is for the design and construction of a 10.8-kilometre elevated viaduct and ten elevated metro stations under the Phase II Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). The project, excluding architectural finishing, covers a stretch of the corridor from chainage 600 metres to 11,400 metres and includes a spur line towards the depot. Shared electric mobility platform Yulu has organised rider awareness campaigns in Bengaluru and Delhi as part of the National Road Safety Month initiative led by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). The Goa government has unveiled an airline incentive scheme with an annual outlay of INR 2 crore to attract new flights and strengthen air connectivity, aiming to support tourism growth in the state. Under the policy, airlines introducing new routes or additional flights to Goa will receive financial incentives, with carriers earning INR 2 lakh for each new flight service launched. In addition, the state has reduced the value-added tax on aviation turbine fuel to 15 per cent from a higher rate, with the government bearing the difference to lower operating costs for airlines. Mumbai's Metro 6, connecting Andheri (W) to Vikhroli, is expected to begin operations around October 2026 without waiting for the Kanjurmarg car depot. MMRDA plans to use an elevated eight-lane corridor with pit lines at Vikhroli for routine rake maintenance, while major overhauls will be handled at the Mandale depot. IRB Infrastructure and Developers has started toll collection on two major highway sections in Uttar Pradesh, covering Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur (NH-27) and Lucknow-Sultanpur (NH-731). Managed through the project SPV, IRB Harihara Corridors, the highways will operate under a 20-year revenue-linked concession. DLF Ltd has reported a 14% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the December quarter of FY26, supported by a sharp rise in total income. The country's largest listed real estate developer posted a net profit of INR 1,203.36 crore for the October-December period, compared with INR 1,058.73 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Eternal Ltd, the parent company of Zomato, has agreed a lease for a substantial commercial office space of 2,78,249 sq ft in Intellion Park, Sector 59, Gurugram, with a monthly rent payment of roughly INR 2.33 crore, according to lease deed documents. The transaction covers seven floors the ground level and floors four through nine under a lease running just under five years, which began in October 2025. The agreement includes a three-year lock-in clause, a 15% rent escalation after three years, and a rent-free fit-out period of six months and 14 days to facilitate tenant customisations before rent payments commence. A security deposit equivalent to six months rent has been paid, and the premises will provide 371 dedicated car parking spaces, calculated on the basis of one parking slot per 750 sq ft. The agreement focuses on closer coordination between road and rail planning, particularly in difficult and challenging terrains where joint solutions can improve efficiency, safety and economic outcomes. Key areas of collaboration include rail-cum-road bridges, tunnels, multi-modal logistics parks, inter-modal hubs and grade separators at locations where highways intersect or run alongside railway lines.
