Mumbai's road network in the central corridor has received a major boost with the opening of the Tardeo Nagpada Mumbai Central flyover. The flyover replaces a 130-year-old British-era bridge that had been declared unsafe and dismantled nearly two years ago. ArcelorMittal has launched a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) under the banner of ArcelorMittal Global Business & Technologies (AMGBT) in Hyderabad and Pune, strengthening India's role in the company's global technology and business services strategy. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has proposed a total budget outlay of INR 80,952.56 crore for the financial year 2026-27, reflecting an increase of 8.77 per cent over the previous year's estimate. Capital expenditure has been set at INR 48,164.28 crore, marking a rise of nearly 11.6 per cent compared to the revised allocation for FY26, underscoring a continued focus on infrastructure-led spending. Revenue expenditure has also been increased, alongside higher projected revenue income driven partly by improved property tax collections. Centum Electronics has secured a Phase-1 contract worth INR66 crore from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) to design and develop an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar for the Utility Helicopter Maritime (UH-M) programme. The Delhi government has approved a INR 453.95 crore project to construct a nearly 61-kilometre, two-lane road along both sides of the Najafgarh drain to improve connectivity in outer and west Delhi.
