Patna is undergoing a major infrastructure overhaul, led by the INR 13,365.77 crore Patna Metro project, with the 6.6-km priority corridor set to open by August 15, 2025. The city will also host India's longest road bridge-the 9.76-km Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge-over the Ganges, and a INR 3,712.40 crore Patna-Arrah-Sasaram expressway. Thiruvananthapuram's Smart City projects now have their deadline extended until December. The new timeline will allow for the completion of key initiatives including the renovation of the Palayam Connemara Market, development of Chalai Market, construction of multi-level car parking facilities at Vaniyamkulam and Putharikandam, and the redevelopment of Rajaji Nagar Colony. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced a INR 40,187.41 crore budget for FY 2025-26, with 87% earmarked for infrastructure projects. Approved by Deputy CM Shri Eknath Shinde and presented by Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, the budget supports metro expansions, tunnels, coastal routes, and regional water projects.
