The session focused on expediting road repairs, cleanliness drives, drainage maintenance, and enforcement against unauthorised banners. The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the submission period for its Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) by three months, shifting the cut-off to 23 January 2026, after observing a weak response from plot-owners and developers. The scheme, reintroduced with the aim of bringing unauthorised layouts and plots into the planning framework, was initially set to close at the end of October. During a recent review meeting, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to ensure timely completion of Amaravati's construction and avoid further delays. He asked for faster progress on infrastructure, landscaping, and returnable plot registrations for farmers who gave land under the pooling scheme. Officials informed that registrations for 2,471 farmers are still pending. Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and pressed for expansion of the state's rail infrastructure. He requested that three new Amrit Bharat trains be introduced into Assam, advocated a new rail link between Umrangso (Dima Hasao district) and Lanka (Hojai district), and urged the early completion of the Kokrajhar-Gelephu line connecting India with Bhutan. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has frozen assets worth approximately INR 75 billion (USD 853 million) linked to the Reliance Anil Ambani Group (RAAG) as part of an ongoing money-laundering investigation. The ED alleges that companies like Reliance Communications Ltd (RCOM) and its affiliates diverted INR 136 billion in loans, including a sum of USD 569 million from YES Bank, between 2017 and 2019. These loans were reportedly misused through a practice called loan "evergreening" and routed through shell companies. Additionally, bribes were allegedly paid to bank officials to facilitate these transactions.Read more

The South Western Railway (SWR) in Bengaluru recently recovered 512.25 sqm (641.25 sqm including extension sheds) of centrally-located railway land between Banaswadi and Hebbal after removing 24 unauthorised structures, mostly multi-storey. The operation was carried out under legal orders with support of the State Police and was linked to doubling of tracks on the Yesvantpur-Hosur section and Corridor-2 of the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP). HYDRAA has taken decisive action to curb land misuse in Hyderabad after investigating public complaints received via the Prajavani platform. Commissioner A.V. Ranganath confirmed that in Hastinapuram North Extension Colony (Karmanghat village), a 1.27-acre park area from an approved layout had been illegally sold as plots; the agency removed the encroachments, fenced the land, and installed ownership boards. In Subhash Nagar (Chandanagar circle), a 700 sq yd plot reserved for public amenities was also reclaimed and fenced. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has opened a police post near Gate 2 of the Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station and handed it over to Delhi Police under the Patparganj Industrial Area jurisdiction. This facility aims to help commuters register complaints and seek quick assistance. Similar posts at Sahibabad and Ghaziabad are already functional, while those at New Ashok Nagar, Guldhar and Duhai are nearing completion.
