Haryana shifts to fully paperless property registration as online system stabilises

Haryana has transitioned to fully paperless property registration, eliminating the need for physical documents in all tehsils. The Financial Commissioner, Sumita Misra, reviewed the system's progress and directed measures to speed up approvals, safeguard data, resolve technical issues, and enhance citizen support through dedicated help desks and a state helpline. Early results show rapid adoption, with applications and approvals more than doubling compared to the previous period. Rajasthan HC gives government final chance to respond on illegal colonies on RHB land

Telangana High Court permits Budwel land e-auction under specific conditions

The Telangana High Court has allowed the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to proceed with the e-auction of 4.19 acres of Budwel land in Rajendranagar, which had been set aside earlier this year. The division bench suspended the single-judge order that had favoured private claimants, directing the Rangareddy district collector to decide on ownership claims by mid-December. ED conducts raids at 14 locations linked to ex-Lodha Developers Director

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches in 14 premises across Mumbai and Thane this week in connection with a money-laundering probe linked to Rajendra Lodha, former director of Lodha Developers Ltd (now Macrotech Developers Ltd). He is accused of defrauding the company of about INR 85 crore between 2013 and 2025 through unauthorised land deals, undervalued plot sales, bogus acquisitions and misuse of development rights. CEC backs conditional approval to cut 1,571 trees for Agra-Bandikui rail project

SRS Group promoters charged in INR 2,200 crore money laundering case

A PMLA court in Gurugram has framed charges against the promoters and key officials of SRS Group in a money laundering case worth around INR 2,200 crore. The Enforcement Directorate found that the group collected funds from homebuyers and investors with promises of high returns, but diverted the money through shell companies into unrelated ventures. Earlier, a provisional attachment of INR 2,215 crore was issued, and several accused were declared fugitives under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act. Goa-SEIAA tightens clearance rules for projects over 20,000 sq m built-up area

The Goa State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (Goa-SEIAA) has issued new guidelines requiring the Town & Country Planning Department (TCP) and the Planning & Development Authority, North Goa and Planning & Development Authority, South Goa (PDAs) to inform it whenever they approve a building project with a built-up area exceeding 20,000 sqm. The authority will then notify the TCP or concerned PDA if it grants environmental clearance (EC) for such projects. Earlier this year a meeting highlighted that building plan approvals were being granted without prior EC, prompting the change. NGT directs PMRDA to act on untreated sewage discharge into Bhima River

A joint committee led by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) must prepare a detailed action plan to stop untreated sewage from entering the Bhima River. The tribunal's earlier directive pointed out that responsibilities were being shifted between authorities. During a site visit the committee found untreated sewage flowing from the Satkarsthan Gram Panchayat area into the river.
