AISIN Automotive Haryana Private Limited, the Indian arm of Japan's AISIN Corporation, has leased more than 9 lakh sq. ft. of built-up space at Inspira Realty's Inspira City industrial and warehousing park in Shendra MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Alongside the lease transaction, the company has registered land within the 232-acre industrial park to support its long-term expansion in India. The deal represents the second-largest transaction completed at Inspira City and adds another Japanese manufacturer to the development. The facility will become AISIN's third manufacturing plant in India, strengthening its domestic production network while reinforcing Inspira City's position as a preferred destination for automotive and advanced manufacturing investments.
AISIN Automotive Haryana Private Limited has leased more than 9 lakh sq. ft. of built-up space at Inspira Realty's flagship industrial and warehousing development, Inspira City, in Shendra MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The transaction, announced on Wednesday, is accompanied by the registration of land by the Japanese automotive component manufacturer within the industrial park to facilitate its future expansion plans in India.
The lease is the second-largest transaction completed at the 232-acre industrial park and further strengthens Inspira City's presence among international manufacturers. With the addition of AISIN Automotive Haryana Private Limited, the development is now home to three Japanese companies, reflecting growing interest from overseas manufacturers seeking established industrial infrastructure in Maharashtra.
AISIN Automotive Haryana Private Limited is part of Japan's AISIN Corporation, a Tier-1 automotive supplier specialising in drivetrain, brake and chassis technologies. The company stated that the new facility at Inspira City will serve as its third manufacturing plant in India, expanding its production footprint to meet increasing demand from the country's automotive industry.
Inspira Realty said the latest transaction highlights the continued demand for large-format industrial facilities from global manufacturers looking to establish or expand operations in India. The company added that Inspira City has attracted investments from several automobile and allied industry players, supported by its industrial infrastructure and manufacturing ecosystem.
Founder and Managing Director Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal said the company was pleased to welcome AISIN Automotive Haryana Private Limited to Inspira City, adding that the agreement reflected the confidence global manufacturers have shown in the project's infrastructure and long-term vision. He noted that the addition of another Japanese company, alongside other industrial occupiers, further strengthens the park's position as a centre for advanced manufacturing and supply-chain operations. He also said the developer remains focused on creating sustainable industrial spaces that support India's manufacturing growth.
Chairman K. G. Mohan Kumar said the Indian automotive market is witnessing a structural shift towards two-pedal transmission vehicles, prompting AISIN to strengthen local manufacturing through greater use of domestic components, equipment and skilled talent to remain cost competitive. He added that Inspira City was selected because of its industrial infrastructure, ready facilities and connectivity to major logistics corridors, all of which support the company's manufacturing and supply-chain requirements. He further stated that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is developing into an important industrial location owing to its skilled workforce, proximity to automotive manufacturing clusters and improving transport connectivity.
Inspira Realty also stated that several additional transactions are currently at advanced stages of discussion, with the company expecting to build on its leasing activity over the coming quarters across Maharashtra's industrial real estate market.
