Mid-premium developer Shriram Properties has entered into a joint development agreement (JDA) for approximately five acres along Bannerghatta Road in south Bengaluru, with estimated gross development value (GDV) of over INR 350 crore. The company intends to develop an exclusive "villament" community, meaning a hybrid of villas and apartments, and plans to launch the project during the current fiscal year. IMFA has signed binding agreements to acquire Tata Steel's ferro-chrome plant in Kalinganagar, Odisha, for INR 610 crore, marking a major expansion in its production capacity. The plant, with 99 MVA of furnace capacity (66 MVA operational and 33 MVA under construction), will raise IMFA's total capacity above 0.5 million tonnes per annum, making it India's largest and the world's sixth-largest ferro-chrome producer. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has extended the registration deadline for the Atal Nagar Housing Scheme to 21 November, giving low- and middle-income buyers more time to apply. The project comprises 19 towers with 2,496 flats, offering 1-BHK units of around 30 sq m and 2-BHK units up to 54.95 sq m, priced from INR 9.82 lakh onwards. Nagaland has achieved a 96% completion rate under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojan-Urban (PMAY-U), with nearly 30,000 houses built, marking one of the strongest performances among north-eastern states. Officials highlighted that since 2016, beneficiaries have received INR 1.5 lakh per household in phased assistance, improving urban housing access while generating employment and infrastructure growth. At the PM Awas Mela-Shehri in Chumoukedima, officials launched the "Angikaar 2025" campaign, laying the groundwork for PMAY-U 2.0, which raises financial aid to INR 2.5 lakh per unit with a 90:10 funding ratio. Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL) announced earlier this week that it had been awarded a contract worth INR 2,481 crore by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd has leased 8.15 lakh sq ft of office space in Mumbai from the Hiranandani Group to create what it says will be the world's largest managed workspace campus. UP RERA has approved 15 new real estate projects across eight districts of Uttar Pradesh, involving an estimated investment of INR 2,434 crore.
