ITC Hotels Ltd has signed a management agreement for a 22-key boutique retreat in Swaraj Dweep, formerly known as Havelock Island, in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The property will operate under the Storii by ITC Hotels brand, expanding the company's presence in leisure destinations. The move comes as Swaraj Dweep continues to attract travellers for its natural surroundings and tourism experiences. Separately, Swiggy Dineout has partnered with Cinepolis and Asian Cinemas to introduce QR-based food ordering from movie seats, allowing customers to browse menus, place orders and make payments without waiting in queues.
ITC Hotels Ltd has signed a management agreement for a 22-key boutique retreat in Swaraj Dweep, also known as Havelock Island, under its Storii by ITC Hotels brand.
The company said the property will mark the introduction of the Storii brand in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. ITC Hotels Managing Director Anil Chadha said Swaraj Dweep has emerged as a sought-after leisure destination because of its natural beauty and distinctive travel experiences.
Chadha said the agreement is part of ITC Hotels' strategy to expand its presence in high-potential leisure markets through properties that reflect their surroundings.
In a separate development, Swiggy Dineout has launched its Order-in-Cinemas service in partnership with multiplex operators Cinepolis and Asian Cinemas.
The service uses QR-based ordering, allowing moviegoers to scan a code, browse the cinema's food menu, place orders and pay directly from their seats instead of waiting at food counters.
Swiggy Dineout has also partnered with PoS aggregator Impact, which is owned and operated by UFO Moviez, and cinema software solutions provider Showbizz for PoS aggregation. The company said integration with multiple PoS aggregators is currently underway.
Swapnil Bajpai, CEO of Swiggy Dineout and Scenes, said the collaboration is aimed at improving convenience for consumers while creating additional business touchpoints for cinema operators.
