#International News#China
Synopsis

Apple supplier Largan Precision has acquired a property in central Taiwan for TWD 3.08 billion, equivalent to about USD 96.8 million. The purchase adds to the company’s property holdings in Taichung as it expands its manufacturing operations. Largan Precision is a major producer of optical lenses and supplies components to smartphone makers, including Apple. The acquisition comes as the company looks to expand its production capabilities and develop products for growing demand in areas beyond its traditional smartphone camera lens business.

Largan Precision Co Ltd has acquired a property in central Taiwan for TWD 3.08 billion, or about USD 96.8 million, as the optical lens manufacturer expands its presence in the region.
The Apple supplier did not provide further details on the property or disclose how it plans to use the asset. The acquisition adds to Largan Precision’s real estate holdings in central Taiwan and comes as the company continues to develop its manufacturing capacity.
Largan Precision is one of Taiwan’s leading optical lens manufacturers and is a major supplier to the global smartphone industry. The company has also been expanding into newer optical applications as demand from technology and advanced computing industries increases.
The property purchase is therefore expected to support the company’s broader operational requirements as it develops additional manufacturing capabilities. However, Largan Precision has not indicated whether the newly acquired property will be used for production, offices or other business purposes.
The transaction also reflects continued investment by technology manufacturers in industrial property in Taiwan, where companies are expanding facilities to support changing production requirements and demand for advanced technology components.
