Studentbostader I Norden AB (SBS) has signed a lease agreement for 40 apartments in Ronneby, Sweden. The agreement carries an annual rental value of SEK 3.5 million and has been signed for an initial period of three years, with a further three-year extension option.
The lease adds to SBS’s existing presence in Ronneby, where the company operates student accommodation. Its properties in the town include housing at Studentvagen, located close to the city centre and public transport. SBS currently lists 109 units at its Studentvägen property, with apartments ranging from 21 to 67 square metres.
Ronneby is part of SBS’s wider student housing network across Sweden and other Nordic markets. The company focuses on owning, developing and managing housing aimed primarily at students. Its portfolio also includes properties in cities such as Karlskrona, Karlstad, Lund, Malmo, Stockholm and Vaxjo.
The latest lease provides SBS with contracted rental income from the 40 apartments over the initial agreement period. The three-year extension option provides scope for the arrangement to continue beyond the initial term, subject to the terms of the agreement.
SBS has continued to operate a substantial student housing portfolio in the Nordic region. Its prospectus stated that the company had an economic occupancy rate of 99.2% at the end of 2025, while its property portfolio had a value of approximately SEK 8.13 billion.
The company’s existing accommodation in Ronneby is positioned near the city centre and transport links, with access to connections to Karlskrona, Karlshamn, Malmö and Copenhagen. SBS also currently lists apartments in Ronneby with move-in dates extending into the coming months, indicating continued rental activity in the market.
