The Odisha government has approved 14 investment proposals worth INR 2,780 crore, with the projects expected to create more than 14,000 jobs across the state. The proposals were cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The projects are planned across 10 districts, including Angul, Cuttack, Khurda and Sundergarh. Major proposals include Haldiram Snacks Food’s INR 500-crore snacks and baked products manufacturing unit, Prasol Chemicals’ INR 450-crore phosphorous-based derivatives plant and Mahanadi Coalfields’ INR 405.35-crore private railway siding in Angul.
The Odisha government has approved 14 investment proposals with a combined investment of INR 2,780 crore and the potential to generate employment for more than 14,000 people.
The projects were cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The proposed investments will be spread across Angul, Bolangir, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Khurda, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Sundergarh districts.
Among the major proposals, Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt Ltd has received approval to set up a snacks and baked products manufacturing unit with an investment of INR 500 crore. Prasol Chemicals Ltd has also received the go-ahead for a phosphorous-based derivatives manufacturing plant involving an investment of INR 450 crore.
Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd has secured approval to develop a private railway siding in Angul district at a cost of INR 405.35 crore. The facility is expected to support the company’s transportation and logistics requirements in the district.
The remaining proposals cover sectors including textiles and apparel, agro and food processing, chemicals and chemical products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, steel, iron and ferro alloys, and downstream steel manufacturing.
The spread of the projects across 10 districts is expected to support industrial activity beyond the state’s established investment centres. The approvals also cover a mix of manufacturing, processing and infrastructure projects, adding to the state’s pipeline of new industrial investments.
