Delhi Industries Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa visited Amaravati as part of an official tour and reviewed the capital city’s planning, infrastructure projects and development initiatives. During the visit, the delegation went to the APCRDA headquarters at Rayapudi and the Amaravati Integrated Command and Control Centre, where officials presented the city’s master plan through the Digital Twin Platform. The delegation also visited the Government Administrative Department and Head of Department towers under construction. Officials highlighted Amaravati’s planned transport network, green spaces, technology-led development and the use of diagrid structures in the government towers.
Delhi Industries Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa visited Amaravati during an official tour and reviewed the ongoing development of the Andhra Pradesh capital. He was accompanied by a delegation that visited the headquarters of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) at Rayapudi.
The delegation was received by T. Rahul Kumar Reddy, IAS, Additional Commissioner, APCRDA, along with senior officials. At the headquarters, the delegation visited the Amaravati Integrated Command and Control Centre (AICCC), where officials presented details of the city’s planning framework and ongoing infrastructure works.
Rahul Kumar Reddy briefed the delegation on Amaravati’s overall development vision, comprehensive city planning and the projects currently being implemented. The APCRDA’s Digital Twin Platform was used to provide an overview of the Amaravati Master Plan, major infrastructure projects and the technology-based systems being adopted for planning and development.
The presentation also covered the State Government’s plans to develop Amaravati as a world-class capital, with global-standard educational institutions, quantum research centres and advanced infrastructure. These initiatives are intended to support the development of Amaravati as a centre for knowledge and innovation.
Sirsa appreciated the planning and infrastructure work being carried out in Amaravati. He also acknowledged the State Government’s efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to develop the city as a modern capital with international standards.
During the interaction, the minister particularly noted Amaravati’s planned green spaces, iconic towers and transportation infrastructure. These elements form part of the wider city planning framework being implemented by APCRDA.
The delegation later visited the Government Administrative Department (GAD) and Head of Department (HoD) towers under construction at the Amaravati Government Complex. V. Vijay Rama Raju, IAS, Commissioner, APCRDA, explained the construction methods being used for the towers and briefed the delegation on their design and structural features.
The towers are being constructed using a diagrid structural system, which is being combined with environmentally sustainable construction approaches. Once completed, the buildings are planned to be among the tallest government office buildings in India.
APCRDA Engineer-in-Chief R. Gopalakrishna Reddy, Office Management Director Vallabhaneni Srinivasa Rao, Planning Department Director B. Suresh Kumar and Economic Development Manager Anjana James also participated in the programme, along with other officials.
