PVV Infra has secured two wayside amenity projects in Madhya Pradesh from the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The projects involve developing modern roadside facilities along national highways to improve traveller convenience and support commercial transport. The initiative forms part of the government's broader effort to enhance highway infrastructure by creating integrated rest stops equipped with essential services, helping improve safety, logistics efficiency and the overall travel experience.
PVV Infra has been awarded two wayside amenity projects in Madhya Pradesh by the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), marking another step in the expansion of modern roadside infrastructure along India's national highway network. The projects will focus on developing facilities designed to improve convenience for highway users while supporting the country's growing logistics ecosystem.
The sites will be developed as integrated wayside amenities that cater to both passenger vehicles and commercial transport. The proposed facilities are expected to include fuel stations, food courts, rest areas, parking spaces, clean sanitation facilities, convenience stores and other essential services that enhance long-distance travel.
The projects have been awarded by NHLML, the entity responsible for developing logistics parks and commercial infrastructure along national highways under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The initiative is part of a broader programme aimed at transforming highways into efficient transport corridors supported by quality roadside infrastructure.
Modern wayside amenities are increasingly being viewed as an essential component of highway development. Besides providing comfort to travellers, such facilities help improve road safety by offering designated rest areas for drivers, particularly those operating heavy commercial vehicles over long distances. They also contribute to reducing fatigue-related accidents by encouraging planned breaks during journeys.
The development of these facilities is expected to generate economic activity in the surrounding regions through employment opportunities, retail operations and service businesses. Well-equipped highway rest stops also encourage tourism by making road travel more comfortable and accessible for passengers.
India has been expanding its national highway network rapidly over the past decade, with growing emphasis on complementary infrastructure such as logistics parks, multimodal transport hubs and wayside amenities. These projects are intended to improve the overall efficiency of freight movement while providing a better travel experience for motorists.
With the award of the two projects in Madhya Pradesh, PVV Infra strengthens its presence in the highway infrastructure segment. Once operational, the facilities are expected to support safer and more efficient highway travel while contributing to the government's long-term vision of developing world-class transport infrastructure across the country.
