IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The Aarlis Hotel Panchkula, Vignette Collection, marking the debut of its Vignette Collection brand in India and South West Asia. Located in Panchkula, Haryana, the 145-room hotel becomes part of IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio and represents the brand's first property in the region.
Situated against the backdrop of the Shivalik Hills in the Chandigarh Tricity region, the hotel has been positioned to serve both business and leisure travellers. The property offers access to destinations including Morni Hills, Sukhna Lake, the Rock Garden and Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, while also being connected to the region's commercial centres.
Vignette Collection is IHG's collection brand for independently positioned luxury hotels, designed to combine the individual identity of each property with the benefits of the group's global hospitality platform and loyalty programme. According to the company, the brand currently comprises 34 hotels across 17 countries, with a further 45 properties in the development pipeline.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the opening represents an important milestone for both the brand and the company in India. He noted that the launch reflects IHG's strategy to introduce distinctive, character-led hospitality experiences in one of its key growth markets. Jain added that The Aarlis Hotel Panchkula combines a strong local identity with the standards and global reach of the Vignette Collection brand.
The hotel offers guestrooms and suites equipped with smart-room technology, including automated climate control, adjustable lighting systems and electronic curtain controls. According to the company, the accommodation has been designed to combine contemporary interiors with locally inspired elements.
Food and beverage facilities include Sapio, the all-day dining restaurant; Cabinet V, serving Indian and European cuisine; Wakerie, an artisanal patisserie; Jigger, a cocktail bar; and Sky VI, a rooftop venue overlooking the Shivalik Hills. The property also includes The Aarlis Lounge, private cabanas, a spa, salon, fitness centre and swimming pool.
For corporate meetings, conferences and social events, the hotel provides approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of event space, including the Aura Grand Ballroom and a range of indoor and outdoor venues.
Neelabh Chugh, General Manager of The Aarlis Hotel Panchkula, Vignette Collection, said the property has been designed to reflect the cultural identity and landscape of Panchkula and the surrounding Shivalik region. The property also introduces Venu-Nada, its signature "Memorable Ritual", which takes place each evening and combines traditional oil-lamp lighting with live flute and tabla performances to offer guests an experience inspired by local cultural traditions.
As part of the Vignette Collection's Means For Good initiative, the hotel has partnered with Chhoti Si Asha, a non-profit organisation supporting underprivileged women. Through the partnership, the hotel sources locally produced guest amenities and gifting products, contributing to livelihood generation and community development.
