Hindustan Power has achieved financial closure for its 435 MWp/300 MW solar power project in Lalitpur district, Uttar Pradesh, with the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) sanctioning debt of INR 1,135 crore. The project was awarded to the company through a competitive bidding process in 2025 and has a long-term power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL). The project is progressing according to schedule and is expected to add to Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy capacity while supporting the state’s rising electricity requirements through clean power generation.
Hindustan Power has achieved financial closure for its 435 MWp/300 MW solar power project in Lalitpur district, Uttar Pradesh, with debt financing of INR 1,135 crore sanctioned by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA).
The project is progressing as per its planned development schedule and is expected to add to Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy capacity. It has a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL).
Hindustan Power was awarded the project through a competitive bidding process in 2025. The company said the project is among the larger solar developments being undertaken in Uttar Pradesh and will contribute to meeting the state’s increasing energy requirements through clean power generation.
Hindustan Power Chairman Ratul Puri said Uttar Pradesh is seeing rising energy demand along with a growing focus on renewable energy. He added that projects of this scale will help strengthen the state’s clean energy capacity.
Hindustan Power is an integrated power generation company with operations focused on renewable and transitional energy generation.
