Synopsis

Aureya FM, formerly WTC Trades & Projects and the facilities management arm of Brigade Group, has appointed retired Indian Naval Officer Vivek Kalia as its chief operating officer. Based in Bengaluru, Kalia will oversee the company’s operations, business growth, customer experience and organisational effectiveness as it provides integrated, technology-enabled facilities management services across commercial, retail, co-working and community projects. Kalia brings more than 21 years of experience in the Indian Navy, followed by seven years with Airbus, where he established and expanded its training business across India and South Asia. He subsequently worked with Airbus Defence and Space, leading strategic defence sales campaigns and engaging with customers on business and operational requirements.

Aureya FM, the facilities management arm of Brigade Group formerly known as WTC Trades & Projects, has appointed Vivek Kalia as chief operating officer, the Bengaluru-based company announced on Thursday. In his new role, Kalia will be responsible for the company’s operations, business growth, customer experience and organisational effectiveness as Aureya FM continues to provide integrated, technology-enabled facilities management services across commercial, retail, co-working spaces and community projects.
Kalia joins the company with more than 21 years of experience as an Indian Naval Officer, during which he served in a range of command and staff appointments. His naval career involved leadership responsibilities and work in complex operating environments, giving him experience in strategic decision-making, team leadership and execution.
Following his military career, Kalia spent seven years with Airbus. During this period, he established and scaled the company’s training business across India and South Asia. He later moved to Airbus Defence and Space, where he was responsible for strategic defence sales campaigns and worked with customers to address critical business and operational requirements.
Aureya FM Managing Director Vineet Verma said Kalia’s combination of military and corporate leadership experience would be important to the COO role. According to Verma, his disciplined approach, strategic thinking and focus on execution would provide additional perspective as the organisation builds on its existing foundations and pursues further growth opportunities.
Verma also said Kalia’s leadership would support the company as it responds to changes in the business environment, strengthens its operational capabilities and develops a culture focused on excellence and innovation.
Kalia said he looked forward to working with the Aureya FM team in his new position. He highlighted discipline, teamwork, resilience and a clear focus on execution as key lessons from his professional experience and said these would inform his approach to the role.
He added that his priorities would include developing new opportunities, strengthening the organisation’s capabilities and supporting sustainable growth.
Aureya FM operates across multiple segments of the built environment, providing facilities management services for commercial and retail properties, co-working spaces and community projects. Its services are positioned around an integrated and technology-enabled approach to managing facilities, with the company’s operations now set to come under Kalia’s leadership as chief operating officer.
