Synopsis

India’s focus on longevity and preventive healthcare is set to get a new platform with the Longevity Summit India 2026: India Vows for Longevity, which will bring together scientists, clinicians, wellness experts, entrepreneurs, innovators and hospitality leaders. The two-day summit at Fairmont Mumbai will examine developments in longevity science, personalised medicine, human performance, technology and healthy ageing. A key part of the programme will focus on the changing role of senior living, with Shrem Group and Emoha set to unveil Shremoha, a premium senior independent living platform that combines residences, hospitality, wellness, community and access to geriatric care.

Fairmont Mumbai and Le Florence India are hosting the first Longevity Summit India 2026: India Vows for Longevity from 15–16 August at Fairmont Mumbai. The summit is scheduled to bring together global experts, clinicians, scientists, biohackers, wellness professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators and hospitality leaders to discuss longevity, preventive healthcare, healthy ageing and human performance.
The two-day event will cover developments in longevity science, personalised medicine, preventive healthcare, technology, wellness and hospitality. Discussions will also examine how healthcare and lifestyle are increasingly being considered together when addressing longer and healthier lives.
A key session at the summit will focus on the changing senior living sector. The panel, titled The New Luxury of Longevity: How Senior Living is Becoming the World’s Most Powerful Platform for Healthy Ageing, will look at how senior living is moving beyond conventional care facilities towards communities that combine independent living, wellness, healthcare, hospitality and social engagement.
The session will also see the unveiling of Shremoha, a premium senior independent living platform being developed through a strategic partnership between Shrem Group and Emoha, part of Age Care Labs. The platform is being designed around independent living, purpose and wellbeing, with residences, hospitality, community experiences and personalised care forming part of the offering.
Nitan Chhatwal, MD of Shrem Infrastructure, co-founder of Shremoha and organiser of the summit, said the discussion around longevity was expanding rapidly and that India had an opportunity to contribute to the sector. He said the summit was created to bring experts and innovators from different fields onto one platform, with the aim of encouraging discussions and collaborations around healthy ageing, preventive healthcare and human performance. He also said the organisers hoped to develop the summit into an annual forum.
Saumyajit Roy, co-founder and CEO of Emoha Elder Care and co-founder of Shremoha, said the longevity conversation needed to extend beyond healthcare to include the way people live. He said Shremoha was being developed around communities where older people could maintain independence, purpose and social connections. The platform follows the philosophy of leading with life rather than care, placing longevity within a broader way of living.
The partnership comes after Age Care Labs raised INR 85 crore in a Series B1 funding round, with Shrem Group participating alongside Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, Pegasus Finvest and family offices. The funding was part of a larger planned INR 250 crore Series B round, which is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2027. The company said the capital would support the expansion of its eldercare services, technology and healthcare capabilities across India.
Age Care Labs operates through Emoha and Epoch Elder Care. Emoha provides home-based eldercare services, including geriatric care, health monitoring, emergency assistance, hospital support and social engagement. Epoch focuses on assisted living and specialised care, including dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation and long-term care. Shremoha adds an independent-living component to this existing range of services.
The broader senior living market in India is also seeing increased interest as the country’s elderly population grows and family structures change. A CareEdge Ratings report cited in recent industry coverage estimated that India’s population aged 60 years and above could reach around 231 million by 2036, compared with about 142 million in 2021. The report also estimated the specialised senior care market at around USD 35 billion annually, while noting that organised senior living remains underdeveloped compared with more mature markets.
This shift is also influencing the nature of senior housing. Instead of focusing only on assisted care, newer models are looking at independent living, healthcare access, wellness, recreation and community as part of the residential environment. Demand is also emerging in urban locations where seniors can remain closer to family members, hospitals and established city infrastructure.
The upcoming summit will therefore bring together two areas that are increasingly overlapping: longevity-focused healthcare and senior living. Its discussions will cover science and medicine as well as technology, hospitality and community design, while the launch of Shremoha will put the focus on how these elements can be incorporated into residential communities.
Fairmont Mumbai has also been developing its own focus on longevity and preventive wellness. The hotel, which opened in 2025, houses Blu Xone at Fairmont Spa and Longevity, described by the organisers as a longevity-focused wellness space within a luxury hotel. The summit extends this focus into a wider discussion involving medical, scientific, hospitality and senior living stakeholders.
Shremoha is being positioned as a premium senior independent living platform developed through the partnership between Shrem Group and Emoha. Its model combines residences with hospitality-led living, community experiences and an integrated continuum of expert geriatric care.
The platform follows an independence-first approach, allowing seniors to remain active and make independent choices while having access to professional support as their requirements change. Its stated philosophy, Live Magnificently, focuses on combining hospitality and care so that ageing is supported through greater independence, confidence and access to services.
