Synopsis

Land pooling for Amaravati has reached 70.66% in Pedamaddur under the second phase of the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS 2.0). Of the 1,018 acres targeted in the village, Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) officials have so far collected 719.35 acres from farmers. The process is progressing with farmers voluntarily coming forward to provide their land for the development of the capital. Several farmers recently submitted their land-related documents to APCRDA officials, further advancing the consolidation process in the village.

The land pooling process in Pedamaddur is progressing under LPS 2.0, with 719.35 acres secured so far against the total target of 1,018 acres. This means 70.66% of the targeted land in the village has been collected for the development of Amaravati.
Farmers in Pedamaddur are voluntarily coming forward to provide their land under the pooling process for the construction and development of Amaravati as the People’s Capital. APCRDA officials are carrying out the land collection and documentation process as part of the second phase of the scheme.
Several farmers from the village recently handed over the required land documents to Special Deputy Collector B. Ratnakumar and Deputy Collector N. Yesuratnam. The submission of these documents is part of the ongoing process to consolidate the land being offered by farmers.
Pedamaddur is among the villages covered under LPS 2.0 for the expansion and development of Amaravati. The second phase of land pooling is aimed at securing additional land required for planned infrastructure and other capital-related development works.
The progress in Pedamaddur comes as APCRDA continues the land pooling exercise across the identified villages. The authority is working with landowners to complete documentation and consolidate the required parcels for the next phase of Amaravati’s development.
The remaining land under the village’s 1,018-acre target will have to be secured as the pooling process continues. Completion of documentation and verification will also remain an important part of the process before the consolidated land can be taken forward for planned development.
APCRDA has acknowledged the participation of Pedamaddur residents who have provided land under the pooling scheme in response to the government’s call for participation in Amaravati’s development.
