Synopsis

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has opened a creche at its headquarters in Rayapudi, Amaravati, to help employees manage work responsibilities while caring for their young children. Located on the ground floor of the APCRDA project office next to SBI Bank, the facility is also available to employees of nearby government offices. It operates on weekdays from 10 am to 5:30 pm and provides children with a safe and supervised environment during working hours. The facility was inaugurated by APCRDA Social Development Group Director V. Ramulu.

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has set up a creche at its headquarters in Rayapudi, Amaravati, to support employees who have young children and need childcare facilities during working hours.
The facility is located on the ground floor of the APCRDA project office in Rayapudi, next to the SBI Bank. Apart from employees working at the APCRDA headquarters, staff working in nearby government offices can also use the facility.
The creche will remain operational from 10 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays. It has been arranged to provide children with a safe and comfortable environment, along with the required care and supervision while their parents are at work.
The facility was inaugurated on Monday by APCRDA Social Development Group Director V. Ramulu, who coordinated its establishment as part of the authority's employee welfare measures.
The creche has been designed to help employees attend to their official responsibilities without having to manage childcare arrangements separately during office hours. The facility provides a dedicated space where young children can remain under supervision while their parents continue with their work.
The move also builds on the wider emphasis on child welfare and basic facilities within projects under the Amaravati development programme. APCRDA's own safeguards monitoring documents have previously recorded creche facilities at labour camps associated with capital city construction works, reflecting the requirement for child-friendly facilities for workers with families.
The APCRDA project office in Rayapudi itself is a major government facility housing the operations of agencies involved in the development of Amaravati. The building was designed as a G+7 structure and includes facilities such as an experience centre, command and control centre, creche and food courts.
Ramulu said the newly established facility would allow employees to concentrate on their duties while ensuring that their children remain in a secure setting during office hours. He added that APCRDA would continue such employee-focused initiatives to strengthen a supportive working environment, with employee welfare remaining a priority.
