Synopsis

Manappuram Finance reported a sharp rise in consolidated profit for the June quarter, with earnings increasing to INR 585 crore from INR 132 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income also increased, supported by higher interest income and growth in net interest income. The company’s assets under management expanded by 57 per cent to INR 69,635 crore, while its gold loan AUM nearly doubled to INR 57,006 crore. The board also declared an interim dividend of INR 1 per equity share, reflecting the company’s quarterly financial performance.

Gold loan-focused non-banking financial company Manappuram Finance reported a more than four-fold increase in consolidated profit to INR 585 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with INR 132 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company’s total income increased to INR 3,040 crore during the quarter from INR 2,265 crore in the April-June quarter of FY26, according to its regulatory filing.
Interest income was a major contributor to the increase, rising to INR 2,998 crore from INR 2,201 crore in the same quarter a year earlier. Net Interest Income (NII) also recorded a 25 per cent year-on-year increase to INR 1,759 crore, compared with INR 1,407 crore in Q1 FY26.
At the same time, total expenses rose at a slower pace, increasing to INR 2,259 crore from INR 2,163 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company also reported strong growth in its assets under management. Overall AUM increased 57 per cent to INR 69,635 crore during the quarter.
Gold loans remained the largest component of the company’s portfolio. Gold loan AUM reached INR 57,006 crore, registering a 97.9 per cent increase from the year-ago period. The sharp growth in the gold loan book accounted for a substantial part of the overall expansion in AUM.
The board also declared an interim dividend of 50 per cent, amounting to INR 1 per equity share with a face value of INR 2 each.
The results come as Manappuram continues to remain strongly focused on gold-backed lending while maintaining other lending businesses within its overall portfolio. The company’s official investor disclosures provide its quarterly financial results and related filings.
The company’s latest quarterly performance also comes amid changes in its ownership and management structure. Bain Capital and the promoter family have moved towards joint control, with the company recently announcing a shift towards a professionally led management structure.
