Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) has entered into an initial agreement with Concor Air Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), to facilitate cargo movement from the Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Dadri to Noida International Airport (NIA). 
The collaboration will enable the movement of customs-cleared transhipment cargo from the inland facility to AISATS’ Integrated Cargo Terminal (ICT) at NIA for onward international dispatch. The arrangement is aimed at creating a more direct connection between inland logistics infrastructure and the airport’s international air cargo network. 
Under the arrangement, AISATS and Concor Air will coordinate cargo handling, customs processes and terminal operations to support smoother movement between ICD Dadri and the airport. The companies said the collaboration is expected to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce turnaround time and provide a more reliable cargo movement route for exporters and shippers. 
The partnership also adds to AISATS’ efforts to connect the Integrated Cargo Terminal at NIA with inland freight networks. Concor Air brings its experience in inland logistics and customs-cleared cargo handling, while AISATS will manage the airport-side cargo processes and onward international dispatch. 
The AISATS Integrated Cargo Terminal is designed to handle different categories of cargo, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, electronics, engineering goods, e-commerce shipments and express cargo. The facility forms part of the larger multimodal cargo hub being developed at Noida International Airport. 
AISATS’ cargo infrastructure at NIA is spread across an 87-acre multimodal cargo hub, comprising the Integrated Cargo Terminal and an Integrated Warehousing and Logistics Zone. The airport says the cargo facility is designed to combine air, road and rail connectivity and provide direct access to the wider industrial and consumption centres of North India. 
The first phase of the Integrated Cargo Terminal has an annual cargo-handling capacity of around 250,000 metric tonnes. The facility includes dedicated domestic and international cargo areas, a courier terminal and temperature-controlled infrastructure for cargo such as perishables and pharmaceuticals. The broader logistics zone is planned to include freight-forwarding facilities, bonded warehousing and logistics infrastructure for e-commerce and third-party logistics operators. 
AISATS was selected by Noida International Airport to develop the multimodal cargo hub as part of the airport’s plan to establish a major cargo gateway for the National Capital Region, Western Uttar Pradesh and surrounding industrial clusters. The project was planned to connect manufacturing and consumption centres with international markets through integrated road, air and logistics infrastructure. 
Bob Chi, CEO, APAC Gateway Services, SATS, and Director, AISATS, said the collaboration with Concor Air would help create a more connected logistics network by linking inland cargo with international air gateways. He said the development of NIA as a new international trade gateway could support the creation of an integrated cargo ecosystem focused on faster and more efficient cargo movement. 
Chi also said India’s growing trade volumes and increasingly time-sensitive supply chains were creating opportunities for the country’s air cargo sector. He added that AISATS was looking to develop infrastructure, capabilities and partnerships to support the expansion of India’s logistics and air cargo network. 
Vijoy Kumar Singh, Director, International Marketing & Operations, Concor, said AISATS and Concor Air would use the partnership to facilitate cargo transhipment between ICD Dadri and the AISATS Integrated Cargo Terminal. He said the process would be supported by cargo-handling protocols, customs coordination and streamlined terminal procedures. 
Ramanathan Rajamani, CEO, AISATS, said the agreement would strengthen the connection between NIA and inland freight networks and support the airport’s development as an international air cargo gateway. He added that the partnership with Concor Air would provide a more seamless link between inland logistics and international cargo dispatch. 
The latest arrangement follows other efforts by AISATS to build cargo connectivity for NIA. The company had earlier partnered with Continental Carriers to facilitate the movement of customs-cleared export transhipment cargo from its air freight station at Kapashera to the AISATS cargo terminal at Jewar through bonded trucking. AISATS has also entered into a separate collaboration with Samsung SDS focused on improving the handling of high-value electronics cargo at the airport. 
AISATS has also partnered with Afcom for freighter operations at the airport’s Integrated Cargo Terminal, with the arrangement covering cargo such as electronics, perishables, auto components and temperature-sensitive goods.
