Jakson Infra has secured an INR 128.21 crore contract from Resonia Ltd for the supply and construction of a 400 kV transmission line in Karnataka. The project covers approximately 90.07 km and involves the 400 kV Double Circuit (Quad) Jagalur-Kadakola Transmission Line, Element 1B, covering the middle section of the route. The project forms part of a wider transmission scheme involving the establishment of a 400 kV substation at Hampapura and associated transmission lines in Mandya district. Resonia received the project from REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding process. Once completed, the transmission infrastructure is expected to strengthen Karnataka's transmission capacity, improve grid reliability and support rising electricity demand.
Jakson Infra has secured a contract worth INR 128.21 crore from Resonia Ltd for the supply and construction of a transmission line project in Karnataka, covering an approximately 90.07-km route, the company said in a statement.
The contract involves the 400 kV Double Circuit (Quad) Jagalur-Kadakola Transmission Line, Element 1B, covering the middle section of the transmission route. The project forms part of a broader transmission scheme that includes the establishment of a 400 kV substation at Hampapura and associated transmission lines in Karnataka's Mandya district.
Resonia Ltd was awarded the wider project by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. Jakson Infra has subsequently received the contract for the supply and construction component of the specified transmission line.
The company said the project would contribute to strengthening Karnataka's electricity transmission infrastructure. Once completed, the transmission line is expected to increase the state's transmission capacity, improve grid reliability and support growing energy demand.
A Jakson Infra spokesperson said the contract reflected confidence in the company's execution capabilities and that the company remained focused on delivering reliable infrastructure to support India's increasing power requirements.
The order adds to Jakson Infra's activities in India's power transmission segment. The company operates as an infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider, offering turnkey solutions across power transmission and distribution, metro electrification, water infrastructure and civil infrastructure.
The 400 kV transmission project forms part of the wider expansion of Karnataka's electricity network, with the associated substation and transmission infrastructure intended to strengthen the state's grid as power demand increases. The approximately 90.07-km line will constitute the Element 1B middle section of the Jagalur-Kadakola transmission corridor.
