Gujarat Inject (Kerala) Ltd has reported a sharp rise in standalone revenue and profit for the first quarter of FY27 as the company accelerates its transition into the renewable energy sector. Revenue from operations increased more than fourfold year-on-year to INR 12.45 crore, while net profit rose to INR 1.25 crore. The board has also appointed Murli Shivshankaran Nair as Managing Director for a three-year term, subject to shareholder approval, and approved a proposal to rename the company as REGENOVA RENEWTECH LIMITED. The rebranding aligns with the company's growing focus on solar photovoltaic module distribution, clean energy solutions and solar infrastructure projects.
Gujarat Inject (Kerala) Ltd has reported a significant increase in standalone revenue and profit for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, reflecting the company's ongoing shift towards renewable energy and solar solutions. Alongside the financial results, the company announced the appointment of a new Managing Director and approved a proposal to change its corporate identity to REGENOVA RENEWTECH LIMITED.
The Board of Directors approved the unaudited standalone financial results for the first quarter of FY27 during its meeting held in the past week. Revenue from operations rose to INR 12.45 crore from INR 2.42 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, representing a year-on-year increase of 414.4%.
Standalone profit after tax increased to INR 1.25 crore during the quarter, compared with INR 0.07 crore in Q1 FY26. Earnings per share also improved to INR 0.86 from INR 0.05 a year earlier.
Although revenue moderated from the preceding quarter's INR 30.70 crore, which the company attributed to an exceptional order-delivery cycle in Q4 FY26, profitability remained strong. The company noted that its Q1 FY27 standalone profit after tax accounted for approximately 69% of the total standalone profit of INR 1.81 crore reported during the entire FY26, indicating improved operational efficiency and higher margins under its revised business strategy.
For the quarter, total income stood at INR 12.45 crore, while total expenses were INR 10.77 crore. Profit before tax reached INR 1.69 crore compared with INR 0.10 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Separately, the Board approved the appointment of Murli Shivshankaran Nair as an Additional Director and Managing Director with effect from 6 July 2026 for a tenure of three years, subject to shareholders' approval at the forthcoming general meeting. The company said Nair brings experience in manufacturing, administration and corporate development, and will lead its expansion plans in the clean technology sector.
In another strategic development, the Board approved a proposal on 14 July 2026 to change the company's name from Gujarat Inject (Kerala) Limited to REGENOVA RENEWTECH LIMITED, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. The proposed rebranding is intended to align the company's identity with its expanding presence in renewable energy, particularly solar photovoltaic module distribution and clean energy solutions.
The company said the transition is supported by its ongoing execution of major solar infrastructure projects and the operation of its own 5 MW solar project at Jakasana in Mehsana district, Gujarat. Following approval of the proposed name change, the relevant provisions of the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association will also be amended.
Commenting on the company's progress, Managing Director Murli Shivshankaran Nair said the first-quarter financial performance reflected the strength of its strategic transition. He added that the proposed rebranding reinforces the company's commitment to clean energy, sustainability and long-term value creation, while its focus remains on operational execution, customer relationships and expanding its business platform.
