Synopsis

Renacon, the flagship building materials brand of the Renaatus Group, has launched its RENAFLEX Fibre Cement Boards (FCB) and commissioned an integrated manufacturing facility at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of INR 350 crore. Built within 12 months, the plant manufactures autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks, Rapid Wall panels and fibre cement boards using Laminar Flow Technology. The facility has an annual fibre cement board production capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes and is positioned as Asia's largest integrated AAC and fibre cement board manufacturing unit. The company expects the new product range to support India's growing demand for sustainable, prefabricated and fire-rated building materials across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Renacon, the flagship building materials brand of the Renaatus Group, has launched RENAFLEX Fibre Cement Boards (FCB) while commissioning a new integrated manufacturing facility at Naidupeta in Andhra Pradesh, marking the company's expansion into comprehensive building solutions.
The facility, developed through Renaatus Products Private Limited with an investment of INR 350 crore, has been established to manufacture autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks, Rapid Wall panels and fibre cement boards. According to the company, the plant was completed within 12 months and introduces Laminar Flow Technology to India, enabling the production of precision-engineered building materials designed for modern construction.
The Naidupeta unit has an annual production capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes of fibre cement boards, making it Asia's largest integrated AAC and fibre cement board manufacturing facility, according to the company. The project is also expected to generate direct and indirect employment for more than 1,000 people while supporting domestic manufacturing under the Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative.
P. Selva Sundaram, Chairman and Managing Director of the Renaatus Group, said the launch of RENAFLEX represented an important step in the company's transition from a green building materials manufacturer to a broader building solutions provider. He stated that the investment reflected the company's long-term focus on advanced manufacturing, innovation and sustainable construction, adding that Laminar Flow Technology would enable the production of fibre cement boards with improved strength, dimensional accuracy, durability and consistency.
The new product strengthens Renacon's portfolio, which already includes AAC blocks, Rapid Wall AAC sandwich panels and Renafix drymix products. The company said the fibre cement boards have been developed to support dry-wall construction systems, particularly at a time when labour shortages are encouraging faster and more efficient construction methods. It added that the products could also support government housing initiatives, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 and the Affordable Rental Housing Complexes scheme by enabling quicker project execution.
The company noted that India's AAC market has grown at a compound annual growth rate of 10–12% since 2010 and is projected to expand by around 15% annually over the next five years. Renacon said it aims to achieve full utilisation of the Naidupeta plant by March 2027 while strengthening its position in the domestic fibre cement board market.
The facility manufactures both Type A (high-density) and Type B fibre cement boards, along with RENAFLEX Elegante designer boards intended for wall cladding, façades and interior applications. The products are designed to provide fire resistance, moisture resistance, termite resistance, dimensional stability, smooth finishes and long service life. They are suitable for interior partitions, false ceilings, façades, mezzanine flooring, roof underlays, wet areas, duct coverings, prefabricated structures, furniture and modular interiors.
Renacon said the products are manufactured using environmentally responsible processes and are designed to support green building certification frameworks such as IGBC and GRIHA. The company added that the boards are suitable for commercial buildings, hospitals, educational institutions, industrial facilities and residential developments where demand for fire-rated and sustainable construction materials is increasing.
Initially, Renacon will focus on markets across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala before expanding exports to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company expects exports to account for around 50% of the business generated by Renaatus Products Private Limited, supported by growing international demand for prefabricated construction systems and sustainable building materials.
