Highway Infrastructure Ltd (HIL), an integrated infrastructure development and management company headquartered in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, announced in the past week that Infomerics Valuation and Rating Ltd has assigned a long-term credit rating of IVR BBB+/Stable and a short-term rating of IVR A2 for the company's bank loan facilities aggregating INR 200.88 crore. The ratings recognise the company's financial position, operational capabilities and business prospects across its infrastructure portfolio.
According to the rating agency's assessment, the assigned ratings reflect HIL's position as an expanding infrastructure platform supported by a sound capital structure and a strong order book. Infomerics also assigned a Stable outlook, indicating that the company is expected to maintain steady growth over the medium term through continued execution of existing projects and its ability to secure new contracts.
Commenting on the development, Arun Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Highway Infrastructure Ltd, said the rating acknowledged the company's business model, established project execution capabilities and improving financial profile. He stated that the assessment also reflected the company's stronger balance sheet and healthy order book across its toll collection and EPC businesses.
Jain further said the company would continue to prioritise timely project execution, efficient working capital management and expansion across key infrastructure segments. He added that the existing order pipeline and opportunities emerging from India's road and infrastructure sector were expected to support the company's long-term value creation for stakeholders.
Incorporated in 2006, Highway Infrastructure Ltd operates as an infrastructure development and management company with diversified business interests covering toll collection services, engineering, procurement and construction projects, and real estate development. The company currently undertakes operations across 12 states and one Union Territory.
HIL stated that it employs technology-driven systems to support toll operations while executing infrastructure projects across its portfolio. The company also highlighted that its operations are led by an experienced management team under the leadership of Arun Kumar Jain.
The company said its existing order book and expanding project pipeline position it to participate in future opportunities arising from India's infrastructure and urban transport sectors. The latest credit ratings are expected to support the company's banking relationships and financing profile as it continues to execute projects across its business verticals.
