Bolt.Earth has highlighted the contribution of its certified technician network, which has expanded from 800 members in 2024 to more than 5,000 across India in 2026, supporting the operation and maintenance of its EV charging infrastructure. The Bengaluru-based company recently held its first Rewards & Recognition programme, honouring 17 technicians representing 17 states for their role in ensuring charger reliability. The initiative comes as India's EV charging ecosystem continues to expand, with technicians playing a key role in installation, maintenance and fault resolution. Bolt.Earth said the workforce growth reflects one of the country's largest skilled employment networks within the EV charging sector, spanning both metropolitan centres and smaller towns.
Bolt.Earth has recognised the contribution of its certified technician workforce as it continues to expand its electric vehicle charging network across India. The Bengaluru-based company recently organised its inaugural Rewards & Recognition programme to acknowledge technicians responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing charging infrastructure, highlighting the role they play in ensuring network reliability as EV adoption grows.
The programme recognised 17 technicians representing 17 states, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The initiative focused on technicians who consistently responded to service requests, resolved equipment faults and ensured charging stations remained operational across diverse locations.
According to the company, its technician network has grown from around 800 certified professionals in 2024 to more than 5,000 in 2026, representing an increase of more than six-fold. Bolt.Earth said the expansion has created one of the country's largest skilled employment networks within the EV charging industry, with technicians deployed across major cities as well as smaller towns where access to formal technical employment opportunities remains limited.
The company noted that technicians are responsible for addressing operational issues ranging from charger failures to connector repairs, enabling charging stations to remain functional even under challenging weather conditions and demanding service environments. Their work is intended to support the reliability of the company's charging network and improve the charging experience for EV users.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Mohit Yadav said the availability of technicians ensured charging points remained operational beyond their initial installation. He stated that every new charger deployed by the company also created skilled employment opportunities in different parts of the country, adding that developing a trained workforce had been as important to the company's growth strategy as expanding its charging infrastructure.
Among those recognised during the programme was Abdul Moin from Maharashtra, who has worked with Bolt.Earth for more than two years installing EV chargers for three-wheelers. The company said he has built a network of more than 500 field technicians operating across Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Abdul Moin said Bolt.Earth's operational support had enabled his team to resolve field issues quickly and continue expanding installations. He added that his team installs around 3,000 EV chargers every month, reflecting increasing demand for charging infrastructure. He also noted that discussions with prospective EV users often centred on the environmental and financial benefits of electric mobility, with many changing their views after experiencing lower operating costs.
Bolt.Earth said recognising technicians forms part of its long-term approach to scaling its charging network. As India's EV charging infrastructure continues to expand, the company maintained that a skilled field workforce capable of maintaining charger uptime remains essential to ensuring dependable charging services across the country.
