The contract, valued at INR 83.99 crore, covers the construction of sewage treatment plants, compound walls and other finishing works. L&T secured the project as the lowest (L1) bidder. The award marks another step towards completing the residential infrastructure developed for government employees in Amaravati, the greenfield capital city of Andhra Pradesh.

Amaravati Growth & Infrastructure Corporation Limited (AGICL) has awarded the Letter of Award (LOA) to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for carrying out the final-phase works of the Non-Gazetted Officers (NGO) Housing Towers at the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), taking the residential project closer to completion.
The LOA was handed over by AGICL Managing Director Abhishek Kumar, IAS, to representatives of L&T at the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) headquarters in Rayapudi during the past week. Engineering officials of AGICL were also present on the occasion.
The contract has been awarded at a value of INR 83.99 crore. The scope of work includes the construction of sewage treatment plants (STPs), compound walls and other balance finishing works required for the NGO residential towers developed in Amaravati.
L&T secured the project after emerging as the lowest (L1) bidder during the tendering process and was formally awarded the contract through the issuance of the Letter of Award.
The NGO Housing Towers form part of the residential infrastructure planned within the Amaravati Government Complex to accommodate Non-Gazetted Officers serving in various state government departments. The housing project is one of several residential developments planned alongside administrative buildings and supporting civic infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh's capital city.
The award comes as the Andhra Pradesh government continues to advance pending works in Amaravati, with a renewed focus on completing key government buildings, employee housing and essential urban infrastructure to support the functioning of the capital city.
