ACME Solar Holdings has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project. The agreement increases the company's PPA-backed portfolio to 6,870 MW out of its total contracted capacity of 8,070 MW. The project will use ACME Solar's existing grid connectivity in high solar irradiation and wind resource locations and will supply power at a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 30 per cent, further strengthening its renewable energy pipeline.
ACME Solar Holdings has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project, further expanding its long-term renewable energy portfolio.
The agreement has been signed through the company's wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Renewtech Fifth Pvt Ltd. According to the company, the tariff for the project has already received approval and adoption from the Central and State regulators, allowing the project to move forward under the agreed commercial terms.
The hybrid renewable energy project will be connected to ISTS substations and will utilise ACME Solar's already secured grid connectivity in locations with high solar irradiation and favourable wind resources. Under the terms of the PPA, the company will supply power while maintaining a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 30 per cent.
Following the signing of this agreement, ACME Solar's PPA-backed portfolio has increased to 6,870 MW out of its total contracted portfolio of 8,070 MW.
The company has steadily expanded its renewable energy pipeline over the past few years across utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid, Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The latest agreement with SECI further strengthens its long-term contracted capacity and supports India's ongoing transition towards cleaner sources of energy.
ACME Solar Holdings currently has a diversified contracted portfolio of 8,070 MW across solar, wind, hybrid, storage and FDRE projects. Of this, 2,990 MW is operational, while 5,080 MW is under construction. The company also has a contracted Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity of 3.62 GWh.
The company said its under-construction portfolio with signed PPAs now stands at 3,880 MW. Through its in-house engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) divisions, ACME Solar manages the complete project lifecycle, from development and construction to plant operations, with a focus on timely execution, cost efficiency and operational performance.
