Synopsis

Traveltechnology platform ixigo has launched a limited-period campaign offering Delhi Metro commuters two free metro tickets every month through the ixigo Trains app. The initiative became available on 21 June and is open to both new and existing users. Under the scheme, commuters can claim two complimentary metro tickets each month, with a maximum value of INR 100 per ticket. The company said the offer is aimed at making daily travel more affordable while encouraging greater use of the Delhi Metro network during the summer season. The campaign forms part of ixigo’s wider strategy to integrate public transport services into its travel ecosystem and expand convenience-led mobility solutions for urban commuters.

ixigo Trains, the train ticketing platform operated by travel technology company ixigo, has introduced a limited-period offer that allows Delhi Metro commuters to claim two free metro tickets every month through its mobile application. The campaign went live on 21 June and is available to both existing and new users of the platform.
Under the offer, users can avail two complimentary Delhi Metro tickets per month through the ixigo Trains app. Each ticket carries a value of up to INR 100, providing commuters with savings on their regular travel expenses while using the city’s rapid transit network.
The company said the initiative has been launched at a time when temperatures across the National Capital Region remain elevated, with the objective of encouraging commuters to use air-conditioned metro services for daily travel. The campaign is intended to make public transport more cost-effective while offering an alternative to other modes of urban transportation during the summer months.
According to ixigo, the offer is designed to enhance the overall commuting experience by combining convenience with direct financial benefits. Through the integration of metro ticketing services within its platform, the company is seeking to provide users with a single interface for managing multiple aspects of travel.
The campaign also supports ixigo’s broader strategy of expanding its presence across different mobility segments. The company stated that integrating metro ticketing into its travel ecosystem is part of its efforts to simplify everyday transportation and improve accessibility to public transit services.
ixigo further indicated that the initiative is aimed at delivering practical savings to commuters while reducing friction in the ticket booking process. By incorporating metro travel services alongside its existing rail, air, bus and hotel booking offerings, the platform continues to broaden the range of travel-related services available to users.
Founded in 2007 by Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar, ixigo, operated by Le Travenues Technology Limited, provides travel planning, booking and trip management services through its ixigo, ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus applications. The company reported more than 57 crore annual active users during Fiscal 2026 and stated that it remains one of India’s largest travel platforms by user base.
The latest campaign reflects the growing integration of public transport services within digital travel platforms as operators seek to offer commuters additional convenience and incentives for using urban transit networks.
