Synopsis

Adani Mundra Airport has commenced commercial passenger operations with the arrival of its first flight from Goa, marking a significant step in enhancing connectivity for Gujarat's Kutch region. Through a partnership with Star Air, the airport has launched eight new flight services linking Mundra with key cities across India. The development is expected to strengthen trade, logistics, business travel and tourism while supporting the growth of Mundra Port and Mundra SEZ. The airport also expands the Adani Group's aviation network and strengthens integration between its port, logistics and airport infrastructure businesses.

Adani Mundra Airport has officially started commercial operations, with the inaugural flight from Goa landing at the facility earlier this week. The launch marks the entry of passenger air services at Mundra and is expected to improve connectivity across the Kutch region of Gujarat.
The airport has commenced operations in partnership with regional carrier Star Air, which has introduced eight new flight services connecting Mundra with several cities across the country. Besides Goa, the airline will operate services to Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded, creating new travel links for businesses, industries and travellers.
According to a statement issued by the Adani Group, the new air services are expected to significantly reduce travel time and improve access to one of India's most important industrial and logistics centres. The company said the enhanced connectivity would support trade, commerce, logistics activities and tourism while strengthening the economic ecosystem around Mundra.
The airport's new terminal was inaugurated by Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airports Holding Ltd. The facility has been developed using the group's infrastructure development model and is designed to support both passenger and cargo operations.
Mundra Airport features a 1,900-metre runway capable of handling a variety of passenger and cargo aircraft. The terminal has been equipped with multiple check-in counters and dedicated parking facilities to support operational efficiency and future traffic growth.
The company stated that the airport is expected to play an important role in supporting the operations of Mundra Port, India's largest private commercial port, and the operational multi-product Mundra Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Improved air connectivity is expected to provide a crucial transport link for businesses operating in the region and help integrate cargo and trade flows more efficiently with domestic and international supply chains.
The development also aligns with the Adani Group's broader strategy of creating integrated infrastructure networks across ports, airports, logistics and industrial zones. By adding commercial operations at Mundra Airport, the group aims to strengthen coordination between its aviation and port businesses, enabling smoother movement of people and goods.
The airport's launch comes as demand for regional air connectivity continues to grow across India, supported by increasing industrial activity and the expansion of aviation infrastructure in emerging economic centres.
