Aramex recognises Percy Avari as he concludes 29-year leadership career in India

Aramex has honoured Percy Avari, General Manager – India, as he concludes a 29-year career with the global logistics company. Having joined the organisation in 1997 as Financial Controller, Avari held several leadership roles and played a key role in expanding Aramex's operations across India, including international express, freight forwarding, domestic distribution and supply chain services. He also contributed to the growth of the company's cross-border e-commerce offering, Shop & Ship, and represented the logistics industry through various sector forums. Avari has indicated that he intends to explore opportunities within the start-up ecosystem following his departure from corporate leadership.

Aramex has recognised the contribution of Percy Avari, General Manager – India, as he concludes a 29-year career with the global logistics and transportation company. Avari, who joined Aramex India in 1997 as Financial Controller, played a significant role in the company's expansion from its early operations into a nationwide logistics network. 
During his tenure, Avari held several leadership positions, including Regional Manager for Western India and Country Manager for India, before assuming his current role as General Manager – India. Over nearly three decades, he oversaw the growth of the company's International Express, Freight Forwarding, Domestic Distribution, Logistics and Supply Chain businesses across the country. 
He also contributed to the expansion of Aramex's cross-border e-commerce platform, Shop & Ship, which enables customers in India to purchase products from international retailers through global delivery services. 
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Avari transitioned from finance into operational and business leadership during his career. Beyond his responsibilities within the company, he actively participated in industry bodies and sector discussions, contributing to conversations surrounding the development of India's logistics and e-commerce industries. 
Reflecting on his tenure, Avari said it had been a privilege to be part of Aramex's journey in India over the past 29 years. He noted that he was proud of what the organisation had achieved collectively and expressed gratitude to colleagues, customers and business partners who had supported the company's growth. He added that, after stepping away from corporate life, he intended to explore opportunities within the start-up sector. 
Commenting on the leadership transition, Abbas Panju, Senior Vice President – GCC and Indian Subcontinent at Aramex, said Avari had been instrumental in the company's growth in both India and South Asia. He stated that Avari's leadership, industry knowledge and long-standing commitment had strengthened Aramex's position in one of its key markets, while thanking him for his contribution over nearly three decades and wishing him success in his future endeavours.
